Ik im late to the party but why does it have a open diff in the middle when most 4x4 are locked in the middle where the motor powers the drivetrain this one isn’t
@RadioactiveRC
@RadioactiveRC 19 күн бұрын
What’s up Timster161welcome to the channel! That’s a good question. On a basher you want the center diff to be open and unlocked so that when you come down off of a jump the power can transfer from the front diff to the rear diff. In a crawler you’ll always find the center locked because there’s rarely a situation where they’re coming off of a 50 foot jump. Thanks for the comment and thanks for being here! 🤙🏼☢️

What’s up zacharypebles2733 welcome to the channel! You could definitely do that. On my first bash bar I drilled a hole completely through and captured the bash bar. Didn't the stock RTR chassis have a bulge Ridge that ran up the middle and matched to where that middle hole is. The EXB does not use this because the chassis is flat and there would be a gap, they figgured it would be fine with two screws I guess.
@RadioactiveRC
@RadioactiveRC Ай бұрын
What’s up 3SonsRC welcome to the channel! That makes sense to me I never owned the K8 RTR only the EXB. It just blows me away that Arrma would leave this gap in the design when there was an opportunity to make it stronger. Thanks for the comment and thanks for being here! 🤙🏼☢️

@radioactiverc you will love the way it drives bro! Let me know if you run in to any issues. I basically measured the difference between the front and rear shafts. And ran two rears. I’m pretty sure it’s exactly 2.1 inches I would recommend getting something like the m2c driveshafts. Only 33 bucks each. Other than that not much else changes! Also. I saw where you mentioned something about not liking the servo mount. On that build I’m running the Vitavon servo mount. It stands it up and has the radio box attached to the side. It’s solid. Your stuff is awesome man! Can’t wait to see all the new stuff you come up with. That lawn mower was awesome too!
@gboulter

The 3rd motor mount hole was for the soft pressed BLX chassis it helped the chassis more than the mount as the EXBb is flat it leaves a space so not a good spot to tighten a screw. I can tell you're not an engineer as fully threaded isn't a bolt.
@RadioactiveRC
@RadioactiveRC Ай бұрын
What’s up and thanks for watching! Thanks for clearing that up. However it feels like a missed opportunity to make the RC stronger. Any opportunity you have to fasten a motor mount to a weak piece of aluminum to increase strength should be taken EXB or not. The RCs I have designed in the past with this motor mount I have always utilized all three mount holes on the motor mount. I don’t cut corners building my RCs. Funny thing you should mention engineering. It’s always a non-engineer who makes statements like that. I have a masters degree in medical technology engineering. If you or anyone you know has visited a hospital any time after 1998. You most definitely have been served and helped with my patented medical technology. How many RCs have you engineered and designed from the ground up? Send me a link where I can see your work and support you. Thanks for being here and supporting the channel! @RadioactiveRC
@RadioactiveRC Ай бұрын
After 4 years of videos it's easy to over looks some. Look for (Send It) and (Only dual motor K6 versus only dual motor Shredder) Maybe Notorious 4x4x4 build? There’s lots of builds I haven’t got around to filming. This has been a very busy year for the channel. I’ve been traveling almost every month since March. As far as small jumps from a ramp on grass. I live on a ranch that’s all I have is grass. I’m not going to intentionally go to a concrete park to tear up my stuff. Those small jumps were measured between 50 and 60 feet. I would guess that most hobbyist are sending their Arrma’s between 50 and 100 feet. If you’re looking for me to drop it out of a helicopter to prove a point. I’m not going to do it because there’s just gonna be another guy that said I didn’t drop it in the right place at the right time to there liking. I hope you understand my point. If you put as much time and effort into your builds as I do your not going to intentionally destroy your RCs like some other KZbinrs. Ask yourself one question would you put your chassis or any other aftermarket chassis in a vice and hit it with a hammer for 10 minutes? Do you think Mitch and Avery would take that challenge? That would be the biggest publicity for my chassis I could ever hope for. If my chassis can take a beating under those conditions…. What makes you think it won’t perform in the real world? What’s up TheBenchModeling welcome to the channel! My factory tires lasted somewhere between 80 and 100 miles. They had plenty of tread left on them but the foams began to distort and get flat spots. I’ve been moved to some high-performance Proline tires but they didn’t last 50 miles because of the soft rubber. After I was done with them it look like a cheese grater had had their way with the tires. The brand of tires that performed the best for me and ended up finishing it out it’s crawl life were AUSTAR HOBBIES tires. I went through 2 or 3 sets of these tires to get over the 1000 mile mark. What’s up dmetzger24 welcome to the channel! For the most part people are running Axial‘s but occasionally you see a Traxxas or Redcat. You might catch a little gruff but all crawler RCs are welcome. You can’t compete in the comps is the only thing. Thanks for being here! 🤙🏼☢️
