is there a specific kit for the 2.2? i orded one that says v6 needed but i have a 2.2
@LostSocketMotorsportsКүн бұрын
I am not sure but the spring rate might be different as the v6 is a little heavier in the front. Might not lower the whole way but I’m not positive on that

I've got a 1936 NV plate. It begins with a 9 and then a dash. Does the 9 represent a county? If so, which county?
@LostSocketMotorsports3 күн бұрын
They didn't start doing county indicators until 1954 so that is just a normal number plate, still very cool!

A tiny bit of grease around the inner rim of the rubber goes a long way in reducing the friction when connecting the pipes to the couplings.

What if I’m not getting blue smoke ? I’m getting a misfire i changed my valve cover gasket , my valve stems a month ago. Now my engine is rattling and i found oil in 3 of my cylinder’s and the one cylinder isn’t responding.
@LostSocketMotorsports15 күн бұрын
Odd that there is oil in cylinders and no blue smoke. Is it smoking at all? When you did the valve seals did you only remove the valve train or did you adjust any of them.

Mine acts like it’s got bad gas but we’ve done gas treatment and it acts like it’s not getting gas after 3 cranks it’ll come on so I’m thinking maybe the fuel filter.

I had my cat unbolted at the engine side and it was so much louder than I was expecting and I drove it like that for a few days and then I hollowed out the cat and it gained more power than straight piped or with exhaust in original condition.

If I remember right, there is a wiring harness back there that doesn't feel like it could slide over enough but it does slide over the intake enough to get a hand back there.

Yeah hey Did you ever do a fuel pressure test on it? What was your reasoning for change the injectors
@LostSocketMotorsports2 ай бұрын
I didn't because I know the symptoms of an internally leaking fuel injector system. If I wasn't aware, i would do a fuel pressure test and let it sit with the gauge on it. you would then see the pressure tail off pretty quickly. Only 3 places this usually happens are the fuel pump, fuel filter (where the fuel pressure regulator is in the trucks) and the Injector/fuel rail.

@LostSocketMotorsports3 ай бұрын
I depends on who you ask. Parts manufacturer says 15 to 20 thousand miles, car manufacturers say either 30 or 60 thousand and I usually do 100 thousand or unless there are issues with the car. If you live in a humid place I would do it closer to 60 thousand miles.

Did you do anything beforehand to depressurize the fuel or anything? Or is it safe to proceed without that step?
@LostSocketMotorsports3 ай бұрын
The problem the truck was having was that the system was depressurizing itself because of a leak between the fuel rail and fuel injector so no pressure to start with. the pressure shouldn't be enough to worry about if you are wearing safety glasses.
