Jesus Christ mate you got 2 left hands and zero talent. You managed to transform a 15 mins job into an hour and something! Take out the hooks in the back next time, it'l make your life way easier. Nice effort but with those hands you'll work better in the mining field or nail hammering or whatever

Question - after the replacement on my 2015 Q5, there are wrinkles at the end (above the back seat) and the headliner is sagging. Would you know how to fix this? Thanks.

Good afternoon. Thank you for the lesson. I do everything myself, but this requires a competent approach to business. Did you have to adjust it after installing the rear window?
@G-MansWorld

@@paveltarasenko5486 adjusting ? There is nothing to adjust the only thing you need to adjust is the height of the rear panoramic glass itself but this will not affect the operation of the shade itself. Hope this helps. Consider subscribing it's free and it helps me a lot.

Hi shop is called Zoom Auto Service it's not my shop I just wrench cars for them. It's pretty busy and I am going for a break soon. If you have a little time than it's probably best to call them in a couple of weeks. You will need to leave the car probably over night it takes at least 4 hours to do the job sometimes a little longer. I think they charge 1000 dollars labor and the part you can easy buy on Amazon or they buy it for you but than need the exact color I think it's only 3 colors anyway Gray - Black - Beige You do not need to buy the whole assembly just the screen something like this but in your color Amazon link a.co/d/dOCGeHH

Thank you for posting this. In order to get the driver's side mount out, where did you disconnect/disassemble the steering shaft so that you could move it over? Did you use the locking disconnect mechanism on the shaft? And on the passenger side, I assume the exhaust and 02 sensors have to be removed? Are there any other surprises on that with a w205 4Matic?
@G-MansWorld
@G-MansWorld 2 ай бұрын
In the video you can see at around 3.10 the bolt for disconnect than just put the steering rod to the side. I did not do the passenger side so sorry I have no idea if exhaust need to come out. Also this was not a 4 Magic as far I remember. Good Luck and consider subscribing. Thanks

Great video. How does the little metal thing slotted intot he metal strip and secured into the blue thing and clip? Those crucial steps unfortunately is not focused by the camera. Can someone help by providing video or pictures? Thank you!
@G-MansWorld
@G-MansWorld 2 ай бұрын
Let me try to explain with words a little more..... So you take the little metal piece that comes with the new shade and put it diagonal into the opening from the screen spring end. You only can get it in diagonal than push it straight and hold it with a pic tool and try to get it into the sliding groove move it forward so you be able to push the plastic part that inserts into the Aluminum tail from the top down so it grabs the metal part that you inserted into the screen spring. In needs to be aligned with the blue part u see on most models. After that you take the plastic cover with gasket from to down click it in place and replace the screw this also prevents it from popping out best is to have 2 people doing each side at the same time but you can also do this alone.

I just finished replacing my sunshade in my 2012 Tiguan. Thanks for the amazing tutorial. If you’re doing it by yourself you can pass a flexible wire through the eye of the metal clip and tire it to one of the rear sunroof glass screw holes. This way the metal coil will not retract when you try to pass the metal coil through the rail on the other side.

We still doing them but pretty busy those days North Austin Zoom Auto Service talk to Sebastian and tell him you did see the KZbin video with G Man. It's not easy to do but if you have patience and follow the video you should be ok. The bad reviews on Amazon are probably from people you did not manage to get it done.
