Please stop dragging your dog(s) to other people’s houses without their consent. It’s just rude. The other people may have allergies, fear of dogs etc.

I think John Ku. should stand for the Presidential nomination and then things will change drastically towards a more humane society.

Yes. We need a spiritual understanding or more complex understanding of what happiness is. Try yoga philosophy. Btw, for an intelligent woman, I was sorry to hear her view that morality is a “sort of useless concept” when Jane Austen wrote powerful novels (considered the most romantic in history) all within a moral universe. “This is Your Brain On Jane Austen”. Stanford study!

It sounds like traditional economics has been turned on its head. Can economists explain why creating money in the private sector through borrowing (the private banking system) is better than the central bank creating and then spending it into the economy. Can they explain why Japan’s inflation is only about 2%, even though its government debt is running at 263% of GDP.

Chrissie Hynde in HER book speaks highly of Steve Jones's book. So I bought it and it's like Steve himself states here: the 'middle part' (Sex Pistols years) is fairly well reported. Indeed the 1st part and the later years were eye-openers for me at least. I have recommended the book to all my friends (we're all of the same age, I WAS in London in Denmark St in 1976...) Steve, great job all of it! As far as I'm concerned.

If you're in reference to the Flores settlement, I think the precedent begins in 1997 when you're speaking about a case in point on victimization, with the Respondent, the Subject, (the Criminal) who committed felonious attacks on another person, or (7 - 10) years later with our Homeland unwilling to willingly, gainfully, potentially, grant the persons most capable of handling these types of situations with only (18)-months of Academy (mandatory), or readily-accessible means, to turns things to make anything different than the plights that so many of our American families (must) unwarrantedly face. I could be wrong but that's my take on the Flores settlement

An interview she did on Feb 8, 2024 titled “Was MMT right about inflation?” at 12:25 she says, “We are getting real GDP numbers that are eye popping”---She is ignoring the elephant in the room which is, how much debt was incurred to get those “eye popping numbers”? In 2023 the US government borrowed $3.2 Trillion, of which only $2.4 Trillion of GDP was recorded. The remaining $800 Billion generated ZERO economic activity whatsoever. She talks about the “multiplier effects” yet every 5 year period since 2006, GDP grew by much less than the increase in the debt which means that money vanished without generating any GDP activity. We would have been far better off taking the entire $3.2 Trillion borrowed and spent it entirely on battle tanks and aircraft carriers. We would have gotten at least $3.2 trillion in economic activity from such wasteful spending and that is with no economic multiplier effect, which is pretty hard to do. This consistent, horrific economic multiplier effect of less than 1, for the last 18 years goes against MMT theory. This theft from the US populace shows that government cannot, and should not manage all but the smallest amount of public money since they are evaporating money in a way that not even the Mafia could do.

Wow....quite a few said what i was thinking. This was so far my least favorite interviewer with Suleika. Suleika presents as very thoughtful, and thats how I've seen each interviewer approach her. It has helped me to want to be more that way. A better listener and communicator. The interviewer reminded me of how so much of our society operates and why i feel like i have to be on guard and defensive.

This album is seminal in so many different ways. Seriously though - as a repressed former christian with gender identity issues and a history of rape and trauma, listening to this album is like having Jeff Mangum personally acknowledge everything I've been through. The dissociation and magic combined with intimate brutality and sexuality is a rare combo that speaks to our deepest pain and desire.
