I don’t ever remember a 429 Cobra Jet in a Falcon. You missed a very powerful Ford production engine, the Boss 429. Also if you are to mention crate engines you should have mentioned the FE 427 SOHC

A “pure” aluminum engine block would be like making a block out of bubble gum. In order to handle the stresses the aluminum will be alloyed with at least 8-10% silicon and about 3% copper to harden the surface.

Did you even do any research before producing this bunch of trash? No Buicks, Pontiacs or Oldsmobile's? Your Ford picks are fair, but the cars and pickups you showed with them are mostly not cars that received the 429CJ or a 427 Side Oiler. And no mention of the 428CJ? Blasphemy! And in my opinion Crate engines should not have been in this. There you also missed several other makes of Big Block crate engines that rivel several of the Chevy ones you did show.

How could the AMC 290 be one of the first engines AMC made, when AMC came out with a 250 CI V8 as early as 1956, after ten there was the 287, 327, 343 then the 290, 390, 360 and 401, The 290 came out in 1968 that is 12 years to late to be first

The godawful Chevy 305 remains in my mind as truly sad. A truck engine and a van engine at best. Everything else they put it in was suffering from the very start.

Got a '79 Corvette with an l48 350 in it. Normally these were slow, but someone before me added some pep to it with headers, holley carb, cam, and they added some racing bushings for better handling. I love my corvette and I love any C3 year excluding the '80s C3's.

there were less than 100 Pegasso Z102 and Z103 V8 produced and less than 100 Alfa Romeo Tipo 33 Stradale V8s made, both of which are far more interesting than many of the regular US V8s mentioned
