Which Metformin is better during in pregnancy? IR or ER?

My sister has PCOD and has been taking Metformin 1000 mg since Sep 2022. She is now 6 weeks pregnant and is taking 500 mg Metformin. Some doctors ask her to take it for 3 months while others ask her to stop it. She is very stressed about this. Can you suggest ? She is not diabetic.

I have been metformin i dont have pcos or diabetes but its given me as the doctor suggested it will help me ovulate better is it safe? Please advise

Thank you so much. Friends, I have done my blood test today and found out there is no Mumps and Chicken pox antibodies in my body. I took the MMR & Chicken Pox vaccination today and the second dose is after a month. After the 2nd dose of these vaccines we have to wait for 1 months to get conceive.
