Many years ago I went to a motorcycle show in Toronto and at the Kawasaki booth there was this guy standing alone on a mini stage. Everyone was passing by without giving him a second look, but I knew who he was. I introduced myself to Don Vesco, he asked me to sit beside him and we had what was one of the most wonderful two hour talks I have ever experienced. And trust me, after many of his tales I took on a new respect for land speed record attempts. Anyone who has ever met Don in person knows he is one of the most wonderful and gracious people ever. RIP Don, the world is a lesser place without you.
