GREAT VIDEO!!! I will try this technique asap. It will save lots of time. I have struggled with root rot when I cut caudex and/or main root even when I dry the plant for 10 days. I've learned my lesson about NOT watering when I first plant it.

You harvest it and then wait for it to dry? I usually leave it on the plant, and allow it to crack open. To prevent scattering of the seeds, I cut a short piece of straw to restrict it, or use tape.

@@GardenSvideos How many seeds to you typically get per pod? I don't have much experience with Gasterias, but recently I've harvested: (1) 35 (plus 2 stillborn = 37) seeds from G. bicolor var. liliputana x Haworthiopisis 'Silver Tarantula', and (2) 14 (plus 26 to 30 stillborn = 40 to 44) seeds from G. b. liliputana x A. But that is not the subject on which I was talking here. Rather I was talking about how can we behave towards the little children so as to (hopefully greatly) diminish the chance of one of them growing up to be the leader of delusional massive murderous wave ...

Iirc, the shell is measurably as hard and strong as aluminum. I was lucky enough a few years ago to get some ripe nuts off a tree in southern California, and I resorted to using a big bench vice and a hammer to drive a crack around each one. The results were worth it, though - best tasting macadamia nuts I have ever had!

Hello wingofshu21! The KZbin does not allow me to put background music unless is legally free, but it does allow me to use from their collection of free music. So under 'style' I chose 'ambient' and from it I listed some with the length of my video and chose one that (to me) sounded like this little lizard thinks of himself as if it'll be a big strong lizard. :-) I hope You like it. I chose way different music pieces on different of my (so far 35) gecko videos. Some are classical music. Hi!. On which Island are You located? Here on Kauai I for several years don't see it in the stores any more. On Amazone.com they sell shredded coconut fiber in 'bricks'. I do not use it or any other substitute any more because after my wife passed away (almost 5 years ago), I had to move closer to the mountain so it is wetter here so the roots started to rot unless I have no organic matter in the mix.
