The last song reminds me of…. Death, really. Ironically, I was listening to this album while headed home from Arizona on a jet. As I was listening I was reading a book about nine ways the world couldn’t because of things from space. It was either the death of the sun or the gradual cooling of the universe, But I was reading about. As the last song starts to fade in I pictured the rapid expansion of our star, consuming the inner planets I’m beginning to become the nebula it will. After the words “ and shine” I pictured the sun’s planetary nebula starting . After the synth and harpsichord section ended, I saw the white dwarf phase. An ember of what the sun once was as the nebula faded but the core remained.. I also pictured the last black holes exploding, bringing heat and light to the universe one last time during the last two parts of the track, as well as the process of some person dying before being released forever from their last agonizing moments… but being remembered by those who knew.

Like art itself..it is from nothing to masterpiece by hand in some way...never lost nor old...purely and always felt like the waves nor time have no effect.

This iconic album was released in September 1975 when I was a sophomore in college; I loved it then and love it now ❤❤. Pushing 70 now and I look around and see things falling apart in general and feel that I was very fortunate to have grown up well before things like cell phones, social media, and climate change became realities in quotidian life. Reading the comments here I see similar sentiments being expressed and it's slightly comforting to know I'm not alone. Yeah, back then I was young, fearless, and a bit foolish but quite happy. What I love about Pink Floyd's music is that it makes me feel like that again.

Im 65 after reading these comments, i feel like I know you all. Shated love and experiences to these songs. Excellent times, sad times, missed times im pretty sure a lot of you were at those parties, in the same cars riding around on tve road to nowhere. My parents who served in WWII and were married for 55 years, were my favorite generation. Ours was my second favorite. Its scary to see where the world is going, im just so glad i grew up in the time i did. I miss real times before the Internet and cell phones. We're the ones who understand how good we had it. I miss all of you good people. 🕊️

В середине 70-ых лично для меня это была любовь... с первого звука! И до сих пор я люблю Pink Floyd! Pink Floyd - это музыка для души и сердца! / In the mid-70s, for me personally, it was love... at first sound! And I still love Pink Floyd! Pink Floyd is music for the soul and heart!

Remember hearing this when stationed in England in 1975, still have the vinyl...Thought it was great then... listen to Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, and Animals in a montage...There is just so much in Pink Floyd's music in that time period, that make's you think of, people, places, things, of times past. Makes the water's of time to flow slowly, not to flow by so fast...Long live Rock and Roll
