A 43 minute taxi time seems much higher than normal. The average taxi time-in is 13.5 minutes at ORD. Also, the current United terminal didn't exist 40 years ago.

I find the ORD airport buildings to be fine, it's the taxi times that are the issues. Personally, you can't beat ATL for both the airport and efficiency.

@flyoma2 ай бұрын
86 segments on United YTD with about 15 connections in Chicago, plus another 15 between American, Contour, Spirit. I prefer ORD to a lot of places. United Clubs are good (especially the new one on C), distances aren't horrible, things are well marked and concessions are fairly decent. Worst in the world in Charlotte.

Thanks for the video! I’ll be on the Star - God willing - in September 2026, doing a Northern Europe cruise from Reykjavik to Southampton (10 days) so it was nice seeing the ship herself and the various locations. And you earned a sun. 😊 One thing should you hopefully see this. Did you say Hotel Borg is where you stayed. And on doing some preliminary research, I know that transportation might take a bit of organizing. You mentioned the ride to the port was pricey. Any recommendations? Thanks again and I look forward to your other videos.

I was looking to go on this exact cruise but ended up going on NCL Star that sailed from Reykjavík to NYC on July 27th. The only reason I did not go on this one was my son had to attend summer school in June. You are lucky that only one port got cancelled. For us, two Iceland ports were cancelled due to the weather. Captain Luigi told us that we had to get out of the storm that was forming between Iceland and Greenland. :(
@DaveGoesPlaces3 ай бұрын
That part of the world is fascinating to me at least in part because of its unpredictability, but two missed ports is a lot.

It really depends on budget. If you can, I’d spring for the American Trade Hotel. But we stayed in the less expensive Plaza Paitilla Hotel, about 5 miles away. We loved its views. The thing is, Ubers were like $6, so being right in Casco Viejo was not a detriment to visiting it.

Yeah we believe the tracks sparked and caused the fire, we had no concern of closing for the season but our power lines took a hit from the flames that’s what had us closed for 3 days lol I was more so worried about the national park the river separated us so I wasn’t concerned of the fire crossing over, it was a crazy crazy day I was working normal as always and spotted a small fire in the mountain and in less than a hour we were out of power 😂
