Yea I always second guess the price of items that sell immediately, but there's no way to know, so I find it's just better, as long as you know you did your research before hand to think that it was priced well and someone was waiting for one to pop up. Better than it sitting there for months haha. On items I collect I always check new listing buy it now and if I've been looking for something and it's priced well I buy it, so I hope that's the situation for others too.

Those 89th division patches are as follows one with orange center is 314th Field Signal Battalion, light blue 177th infantry Brigade, blue and red center is 341st Machine Gun Battalion. If you ever need help on WW1 stuff I'm your guys lol.

awesome video! and awesome liner! i mean theres always a chance the camo is origianl ww2 period. you see a lot of variations in pics. but theres also possible little tommy wanted to make grandpas helmet look more like the guys on the combat tv show back in the 50s or 60s. you just never can tell. btw theres another little detail i see on original paraliners that the fakers dont seem to have picked up on. obviously im not going to post it on a public forum as i dont want to help the fakers out. but i did notice it on your liner. anyway great video!

Marines definitely used regular fixed bales paired with navy leather flight helmets when the paramariens were starting out.

Nice haul. The Luftwaffe helmet is an M40. Value between $800 - $900. Very nice condition.

I'd be interested in the USMC lid. Where will you be listing it? *1st lid looks to either have a Micarta or P55 liner in it, which would make more sense with the later sweatband. 2nd lid has late war OD7 chinstraps, and I'd personally remove that post war sweatband. 3rd lid, love that MSA liner, nice and original

Goodwill is just a clever name. What bugs me the most is when they ask everyone to donate their change to "help people get to work". This is them donating to their own charity that pays people super low AND they use their "charity donation" to write off of their taxable income to save money at the corporate level.

I mean, thrift stores aren't there specifically for poor people to shop at or for people to get things for free from. They get the goods donated for free because the store exists to sell those goods and make money to put into their charitable programs. People get it twisted that the goods for sale are the charity, they aren't, the funds they raise and programs they fund are the charity. It's a goodwill just buy the shoes for the homeless person, the cop isn't homeless he has a wallet on him.

Couple pointers for you. BTW, so sorry to hear about your Mom (😔)! First, when figuring the rate, just round-up. For example, a 2 Pound 6 Oz. Item....the cost at 3 pounds is EXACTLY the same. Second, always charge shipping... unless you have an item where the competition is heavy and you have to offer free shipping. Those shipping costs can really eat into your bottom line. Lastly, I rent a large booth at an antique store/mall (even though most of my items are vintage and not necessarily antiques). Absolutely the best decision that I've ever made. I did $1,500 in sales last month for example. You just find an item, price the item, drop it off at your booth, and you're done!! It's EASY money and helps off-set slow months on EBay. I sell around 40-60+ items (sometimes more) each month.
