I wonder if there's an AI program that you could run old footage through and raise the resolution?

It looks like it was a hell of a show. I love that the crowd is heavy on stage diving vs. crowd surfing -- it feels like an across-the-pond type of variation, but maybe the place is just too small. And the diving builds into a constant stream, until Captain Buzzkill comes from backstage at 17:24. I thought he was checking a connection or clearing debris but then he kinda planted himself there. Chris realizes the guy is gatekeeping, shows him how he feels about it at 18:47 🤣 Dude eventually backs off a little, but he's still way too aggressive with the crowd who were just having fun. 48:05 Chris just vanishes into the crowd like a goddamn magician. This show would have been a dream if pro shot. Still amazing, thanks again!

Ah, the days when presenters had personality and a sense of humour. Of course, they don't allow such things now, that is why the little sport they still have is covered by ex-sports people who are personality vacuums.

I was in the crowd and remember this. Seneleys Park Birmingham. It was almost like the yanks had brought the Californian weather with them. Yes a great competition and I remember the racing was just as good. I know it is very different to today but back then this was BMX at its best. I would love to see if I can still do some of the stunts but I’m 50 years old now!

Most of the famous TV "April Fools" jokes have been after noon, the famous "Spaghetti Trees" on Panorama for instance.
