Should be 1 inch slack, that’s closer to quarter inch to half inch.

Great video, I'm currently rebuilding a Schwinn admiral ladies bike and one of the threads in pedal hole is stripped so I'm replacing one piece crank and I just got to removing the sprocket when your video popped up! Very helpful. Ekim Relyt
