Why did you change the score? Isn’t Liszt’s masterpiece good enough for you?

I got inspired by Busoni and Horowitz, and empowered by the vision of harmony I teach on a daily basis I saw a great opportunity to apply it to this wonderful music. 🙂

i fell in love with ellyn when i first heard her at "the pec". she knew it, too. at the end of her set she came and sat with me and we talked music. we became friends. i lived in denver for 10 years until 2007. the musicians, the music were all phenomenal but ellyn was always at the top of my list. i saw her countless times, took her to gigs, took her back to boston (where i'm from) with me. she played at the Bostonian Hotel while we were there. so many beautiful memories. how blessed was I to be able to call her "my friend". she told me i had a musician's soul and she was correct. laura, pat, richie, jill, mark, eric, herb's, dazzle, burnsley, all forever etched in my memory. she has taken her place and is now playing with the rest of the great's....i love and miss you ellyn and you WLL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN! thank you, vlad. jude g

Hi, Vlad! That's absolutely awesome! You know, i remember your concert at Malyi Zal of Tashkent Conservatory, many-many years ago. You played a duo with Vadim Lorgin on double bass. It was fantastic concert. And i clearly remember that one of pieces you played that night ended up with chord cadenza in Bach style! All the best!

Before she got ill and died. I liked her so much (NEW OREANS) video (VHS) I wanted a back-up copy. So GOODWILL had a vhs copy for $48.00 But they sent me the $19.00 cd. I wanted to SEE her play besides hearing her. I hope to get a second video someday. My vhs is still working fine though. This tribute piece was beautiful.
