Beautiful spicy rockin sound! Makes the truth a little easier for us to take. Rob is obviously a virtuoso poet, composer, singer and musician. All his work is great!

I've loved this song for many years but I know it from the Dust Poets version at the end of the film "Roller Blade Seven." Glad to finally find the original. "It's not about baseball."

Thank you very much, I wrote this song back in the 90’s! I was in the Dust Poets, I was the lead guitarist and singer. We never, did a full album. I appreciate the compliment! I may release a new better recorded version soon.

Wonderful performance. I recently saw Roller Blade Seven for the first time and it was awesome. My friend has been searching for an album release of the Dust Poets version of this song for years. Do you know if it exists? Were you in the Dust Poets?

Where are the backup singers? The horn section. The way you used to play it at the Hollywood bowl when you opened up for Tom Petty (or don't you remember?)

Gosh, when we did it 20 years ago, they were already gone. It's hard for me to do the math, but they are even more gone now. One of my many Favorite Rob songs. This is a beautiful version. Without my drumming I can hear everything better. I wish the kids could hear it! On the other hand, don't bother with the kids. They will never listen. Don't waste your time.

Thanks Danny! This Acapella App allows this video dubbing very limited...its only for phones or pads , audio tends to suffer. Yeah this is the only time I did this song anywhere since we recorded it. All the bars here I use to play are CLOSED FOR GOOD NOW. The Park, Viva Cantina, Joes too I think. I usually post on FACEBOOK ...GET QUITE A FEW VIEWS not that it does me much good.

I have been playing some piano lately, can't really say I can "play" keyboards but during this whole lockdown for the plague I got a decent Casio and expanded my ability a little at least I can writevtunes on it! Gives them a different slant...I guess!

This is not a modeling amp. Only tubes can make the sounds it makes. The effects are digital, but the amp is all tubes

I just bought it... When I play distorted presets, the guitar sounds kinda artificial... I've tried headphones and recording in my pc too, it just sounds bad... Do you have the same problem? Is it normal ?

I bought the original cybertwin in 2001 brand new. Still have it today along with a Peavey I bought new in the mid 80s and I've got a small Krate practice amp. I still love the cybertwin and now I'm playing both my les paul and my new Ultra Telecaster through it. The sounds are amazing.

Great song Rob! Love the lyric! You should see about getting that to some artists. Find a song plugger in Nashville. I could hear someone like Lyle Lovett doing it. Or any number of other artists.

Thanks Andy! Its my own little version of "Gnostic Gospel" . I would love to find a way to get it heard, may be a little quirky but then again so is Lyle!

Great songs evolve gracefully, as this newly-morphed version of Rob's "Return To Love" clearly shows. Chilli's rhythms know the Rob Witham vibe. Although the song needs no visuals, I think the accompanying video is clever and entertaining. Nice work, guys!

I guess I am from the Dylan school of arrangements. Plus probably because of recording circumstance, I never consider " definitive" versions to have been done and with video its something to do!

Another timeless original from RW, performed flawlessly by Mr. Witham in LA & Mr. Hodgson in Fla. When they first performed this song together 47 years ago on a Gainesville, FL stage, no one at that time could've imagined how it would be performed again in the year 2020 or what our world would turn into. We need more timeless originals!

I made the mistake of stopping into a guitar store in the early 2000’s on a Saturday. I have been doing this guitar store visit thing since the mid-60s. there was a spider modeling amp, a crate DX 212 modeling amp sitting there, I was amazed and impressed with all of the different built in effects and amp sound modeling. I spent about two hours trying to decide. I ended up getting the crate DX212..I liked that crate so much for so long, I ended up selling my two fender super reverbs,66 & 70,and my fender Vibrolux reverb, mainly because, I could plug headphones in to the crate and not disturb my wife and kids. A friend of mine stopped over about a year later, and he played through the crate. By that time, the crate amplifiers were selling at half the cost of new which was $950 down to under $500 on eBay. my friend was so impressed with the crate that he offered me $500 for it right now. I let it go for that price. For years and many amps later, I could not find an amp as satisfying as that crate digital DX 212 modeling amp.. I am pleased to say, 18 years later, a pawnshop was selling one on eBay for a starting price of $60 free shipping. I bid on it and I won.It turns out, that the amp had a noisy speaker when I got it. I put in new Celestions... I’m not going to sell the amp again. I have 11 other amplifiers, with the crate is the easiest to dial up a sound I’m looking for. But I must say, these modeling amps sound great when you are sitting in your game room playing alone. But when you get out on a gig, they don’t cut through the way a fender or a Peavey or a Hughes and Kettner .. I am considering picking up a fender cyber twin, it looks like the first generation of this amp that’s available locally for $300. That’s why am on KZbin checking out reviews. I think I’m going to get it.. One amp I forgot.. Vox VT 30. Crisp sounding amp with modeling and effects built in. I had a lot of problems with the Jack input, it turns out that everybody has problems with the input jack on that amp.. One thing about the Vox, it seems I could never get the exact same sound, even with the same settings, two days in a row. It always sounded different from day to day..

Excellent demo. In my opinion these amps are a great bargain today. I recently bought a used one for $300 and it's probably the best value for $ spent. We A/B'd the '64 Vibrolux setting on it with my friends vintage '67 Vibrolux. They were unbelievably close. They are heavy though. I'm very happy with mine and I've used tube amps all my life.

I first heard the Cyber series demoed back in 2002 when Greg Koch put in a promotional appearance at (what was then) Victor’s House of Music located in Paramus, New Jersey. I was in search of my first modeling amp, and Greg’s promo claimed that Fender went so far as to stuff the Cyber Twin with the circuits of every amp it was built to emulate. It certainly had me tempted, but I ended up getting a Line 6 Flextone II because its patch-switching system used a faster interface than MIDI (which also discouraged me from getting into the Behringer system).
