Sailing up the Nile on a wooden Dahabiya is the way explorers like Champollion, Thomas Young and Ippolito Rosellini did it over a century ago. No other way is as inspiring.

Really enjoyed the video, why cut in line though? Were others cutting in front of you?Were you going to miss a connection? Confused by this, I will assume you had a good reason? As a traveler I go with the flow and also am conscientious of my behavior.
@FarOutExpat2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! We try to go with the flow too but going to the end of the line on this occasion would have caused us to miss our flight. It was the longest line I've ever seen at an airport.

Hi,what are you saying in 7:54 because I can't it clearly hear what you're saying about the pass between both islands ( I have plan's to cross that pass someday but I want that it will be save and you're titel saying it's not but I can't find it back in the video
@FarOutExpat2 жыл бұрын
Crossing depends on the conditions that day. Some days it´s safe but some days the water is too deep or rough. You can also hire a boat to take you.

Hello my friend , I spent there a couple of summers between 1992 and 1997, every summer actually. We were a bunch of people, a lot of open minded and open hearted ones. Actually we didn´t like the yots which were occupying the nice views to the open sea. Sleeping in the caves, on the beaches and having kind of camping and a lot of nature and also a lot of nice nightlife . Nevertheless. The island has changed in some places of course, but I wish, that everyone who is visiting , still can find some of the magic of Koufonisi. Which could not be without Keros in neighbourhood of course.

Thanks Alfredo. All of our meals were taken care of on the boat in a communal style setting. Tipping is personal to how happy you were with he service. The crew of our boat was extremely helpful and friendly!
