Great electronic cover of "Ricky's Hand". If you like this it may well be worth checking out a band called "Dalek i" and a track called "Dalek i love you" from their album "Compass Kumpas" from the depths of 1980. Thanks as always Scott 🧡

I agree Christopher has to be the best cover of the fad gadget tune I’ve heard before … to be honest mate I’ve never heard of this band until now …. Gonna check them out …. Fad gadget another pioneering band of electronic riffs and beats have a good day mate 👍👍👍

Haunting, disturbing, tortured. For me, it really doesn't get much better than this. Love "Bauhaus", "Tones on Tail" and "Love and Rockets". Thanks so much Scott for posting 🖤

Hello Scott. I'm not entirely sure that I was ever "wired" correctly, but the more abstract or even "inaccessible" a track is, the more I absolutely love it. Reminds me of a song by Tones on Tail titled "Rain". I wish you well 🧡

Glad you enjoyed it! I'll put the Tones on Tail track on the schedule.

Me either! I missed out on some of these albums when they were originally released.

This is actually the mix from the 1981 USA version of the album. By then they were Icehouse. So it is actually Icehouse by Icehouse.

Has to be my fave icehouse track ….. remember the first time I heard this tune was on a movie called “ young Einstein “ …. This film got me into icehouse in a big way I was lucky to see them twice once in the mid 80s and again in the early 90s a superb band 👍👍👍
@christopheradderley453 күн бұрын
I'm completely with you here my friend. This track is probably my Icehouse number one. I remember seeing "Young Einstein" at a cinema in Northfields Avenue in West Ealing, Yahoo Serious if my aging noggin hasn't let me down. Thanks for the memories mate 👍⛵

One of the greatest tracks ever recorded. I remember first hearing "A Forest" playing over the sound system at Our Price Records in Oxford Street in the very early eighties. I'd never heard it before, but I bought "Seventeen Seconds" within, well about seventeen seconds. All the best Scott 🧡
@SynthMusicWorld12 күн бұрын
I agree, it's one of their best tracks. I believe they played it when I saw them in Portland in 1995. During their encore they played a bunch of their "classic" tracks and we all went nuts when they did.

Thanks! I'd never heard this one before. I found this KZbin video that was supposed to be the 100 greatest synthpop tracks of all time, and this one happened to be #98. And I was surprised because I didn't know that Icehouse had roots in this genre. Like a lot of people, my first exposure to them was when "Crazy" came out. I'll be posting more songs from this album in the coming days.
