Hi. Thanks for showing how to use this. Got it a while ago. Saw your video and decided to crack it open. It showed my fully inflated tyre at 5psi!?? then after being connected for about 3 minutes my tyre went completely flat. I didnt use the deflator, and air was coming out of the hose just fine. Do you have any idea what the issue could be? Also could you confirm if the air that shoots out is intense like that in a gas station, it wasnt that intense so i was thinking perhaps that was the issue? I'm quite stuck. wishing i left it in the box.lol Thanks

Good to see an honest review of EZ products. I've been using them for years now and they do what they say the do. And at a very reasonable price. Unfortunately they get a lot of slagging off for being to cheap and postage times. I can honestly say I've never had a problem with order times or the products. The kits are great value and you can always add the bits missing from the weekend warrior kit.

Personally I do the faces of the first then the barrel's, reason being when you do the barrel's first you pull the dirt out on the face, this could contain grit which could scratch the face when you use a wheel mit. I hope you understand my method. Keep up the good work.
@WeekendWarriorDetailing2 ай бұрын
Thanks for that Pete, I totally understand the logic behind that approach and I’ve often wondered if that is better. Next time I wash the car I’ll try your method.

What you have demonstrated in this video, is not how good the EZ products are, but more importantly, how good your cleaning techniques are. There is so much bro' science and bs surrounding car detailing, and it is so easy for newcomers to get caught up in the hype of spending ridiculous amounts of money for chemicals, and think they 'must' use the most expensive stuff to get good results. Personally, I rate Bilt Hamber products as by far the best quality for the cost, no fancy packaging or marketing, the products sell themselves on sheer quality alone. But, as you have shown, the MOST important thing is the correct techniques and process for detailing. My choice : BH (Bilt Hamber) Auto Wheel - Not the cheapest, but by far the best. It has the best iron remover of any wheel cleaner, turning dark red much quicker than any other I have tried (and I have tried at least 20 others). It also has a very good cleaning product contained in it's formula, removing dirt, grime, and baked on dust. BH Auto Foam - This is extremely cheap especially if you buy 5 litres. It has a ph of around 13 neat, but usually around 9 to 10 when diluted, and produces thick foam which actually dissolves and eats into the dirt on paintwork lifting it off the surface allowing you to rinse it away with your jet washer. Autoglym Pure Shampoo - Cheap and effective. I use about two capfuls per 6 litre bucket, so it lasts ages, and it seems to have a good lubricant property, allowing your contact wash to not damage the paint. I use a Meguiars lambswool wash mitt, and wash my car every week, the mitt lasts a good 8-10 months before needing replacing. Halfords own brand drying towels - 2 of these will get my car completely dry. They are cheap, large, and soft, thick pile microfibre, no marring or swirling noticed using these for the past 2 years. P & S Beadmaker - This is very cheap, and not only gives the paint a slick feeling, but also a lovely gloss and decent water beading properties. It isn't as durable as a wax, but it's so cheap, and so easy to apply (a misting on each panel), I can use it after every wash without worrying about the cost, or time to apply. Autoglym Fast Glass - Cheap, and when used in very small misting amounts per window, does not streak unlike some much more expensive glass cleaners I have tried. For a really dirty car, I pre wash (before foam) using Viro-Sol, which is a very cheap, strong, industrial citrus cleaning product (floor cleaner basically). I buy this in 5 litre containers, and it can be diluted right down to 50:1 and still work, although it is so cheap I often use it at 20:1 where it's cleaning power eats through road grime easily. It amazes me how companies can charge (for example) £30 for less than 1 litre of citrus cleaner, when Viro-Sol costs under £20 for 5 litres. The same can be said for every other type of detailing chemical. Fancy packaging and product placement promotional detailing videos can fool people into paying stupid amounts of money for chemicals.
@WeekendWarriorDetailing2 ай бұрын
Thanks for the comment. That's one thing I've found is that for the most part, when used correctly, you can barely tell the cheaper products apart from some of the more expensive ones. Usually it's just a nicer smell, or maybe a few more suds. Like a lot of things, it's probably psychological, that if we spend more it must be better. Although there are always those cases where buying cheap is not the way to go :)

Great video.... does the citrus prewash strip off any existing wax coating the car might have? Thanks
@WeekendWarriorDetailing2 ай бұрын
Hi, if you dilute the pre wash down to 10:1 it should have minimal impact. Used neat or at a low dilution it might it might start to remove existing waxes. If you want to remove waxes a proper decontamination shampoo would be best.

I just find it a faff having to do all 3, I think there new stuff - Ceramic wash, will do the job without all that fuss.
@WeekendWarriorDetailing3 ай бұрын
Thanks for the comment, really appreciate it. I'm hoping to review the ceramic wash at some point in the future. I found using the Polar range quite easy and fast. The main issue was rinsing out the cannon bottle between the foam and the wash stage. Would be even easier if you have 2 (or 3) foam cannons, so could have it all set up before you start. That gives me an idea for a speed challenge. :) For people that just want to quickly clean the outside of the car, these make the job pretty straight forward, especially applying the sealant, means no need to use waxes.

@@footballdrama.videosgreat you are starting your own business! What products you use depends on the type of detailing package you are offering. Basic / enhanced detail exterior service I use autoglym snow blast, autoglym shampoo, detail brushes small, medium, large (Halfords do dirt cheap range) x20 microfibre towels turtle wax good value for those. Tuttle wax rapid decon for wheels, tyre specific cleaner and wheel gloss enhancer gyeon products. Proper wash mitt for lower and separate for upper car. Meguires drying towel - expensive but they last and last forever - and finishing towel. Meguires ceramic spray for finish. Use a wheel brush with a tapered angle to get into the rim. So important to use a ceramic spray at the end at it gives the wow factor when you handover to the customer and it fills in minor swirls and scratches. Turtle wax glass cleaner is so cheap and works just as well as the other brand that cost 5 times more. Get a glass specific cleaning towel. Autoglym do some and meguires - they give streak free.

On the iD3 we did notice some hazing the following day when the sun was low, gave the glass another go over with the cleaner and that all went away. The hydrophobic properties are great, above 30mph and the water flies off the windscreen.
