What's the difference between the hp1 and hp2 rebuild kits.?
@portcityengines40485 ай бұрын
in the rebuild kits it is forged pistons vs cast pistons. in the complete motors it is cam selection, head porting, compression etc

What does this have done to it

That’s awesome, is that with relatively standard heads? I’m looking at building a 253 but there’s hardly any info on them, cheers

@portcityengines40482 жыл бұрын
Hi Hayden, Yes the block was half filled with grout to strengthen the bottom end

@@portcityengines4048 ok thanks for coming back to me iv built a blowen 355 an done 4 bolt through middle caps but no groute putting out 670hp atfw but only running low boost would this be my limit with out groute? What's your thoughts?
@blairo152 жыл бұрын
Really happy with the machine work you guys did on my 355, with a crane 300, edelbrock ported heads and 13.9:1 comp on e85 she's making 462hp at the tyres. Thanks again for a for a quality job! 👍

Nice little combo. As a suggestion, maybe put a page up with the engine specs at the start or end of video.

Thats a pretty mild cam - must make gobs of torque down low
Cool looking compact dyno room with everything you need.

That was an awesome spinning harmonic balance. Nice looking clean room. Thats all I got from this video. Im really interested in 289 performance on a dyno. Show me some data.

What cam? You have a very short torque curve but for a 383 these numbers are weak?
@MasterWitchDoctor4 жыл бұрын
I wouldnt call them weak. A GM ZZ383 with a 222/230 hydraulic roller and 210cc fast burn aluminum heads are only 435 hp with a single plane intake and 770 CFM Holley with a water pump, alternator, and power steering pump connected during the dyno test. If his engine is that close with cast iron heads and minus the power steering pump and alternator then his engine is actually pretty good.

The last of the great Aussie V8 engines. The series 3 VS commodore ute with the 5.0 was a very underrated car 😉

What did you guys exactly do to this engine ? Is it a bone stock engine with a tune and that’s it or is there a little bit more to it ?
