Amuse choreographer Mikiko has said that her hand jestures and performance nuances are all Su-metal. Was she a prodgy? I'm not sure, but her family members have said as a sm. child, she was mostly loud (think sm. Japanese house and baby Su-metal:)

A lot of stupid people don't understand that the concept of an idol has nothing to do with the skills of a singer or musician. There are idols who can’t sing well and those who are very talented. Idol is just a part of culture, and corresponding methods of development. It's very stupid to think that idol = bad singing. (but this is very difficult to explain to racist idiots)

Thanks for this reaction. Because this is a time she was already in Babymetal, people might get the impression she was already well trained by that point and she is some what older. But she was already a talent at a very young age, she got a scholar ship at Actors School Hiroshima (ASH) because of how promising see seemed to be. "She was born to sing." I would say, she was born to perform on stage, with singing her primary method, but she had already added dancing and a lot of more stage presence to her skill set as well in 2011 (what you watched), integrated it fully in her performances. (Suzuka doesn't count when dancing, she feels the music and remembers it by feeling, very unusual). The funny thing is, legend says maybe she was gifted by the metal gods to perform Japanese metal music, because when in 1997 when X-Japan, Japan's biggest metal/rock band of the time, was going to have their Last Live (they were gonna break up the group as they existed at the time) is the same month Suzuka was born, so she could some day take over the flag of metal in Japan. 🙂 But we can further back, the performance you watched was from 2011, this performance is from 2017, just search for: Suzuka Nakamoto-Babymetal-Early Day`s-Ash Springact HD If anyone is wondering if she always had stage presence in some form, we need to go back even further, this is from 2003, just search for: Suzuka Nakamoto ☆ kids Collection 2003 【BABYMETAL】 Suzuka started her career in entertainment at age 3 (!) in 2001 (but we don't have any video, etc. of that).

This is not Su-metal. When they perform with BABYMETAL, they play a character (Su-metal is her character). So, when she is not in her BABYMETAL costume she's Suzuka Nakamoto. 😇

Nice one. ASH is Actors School Hiroshima. There are earlier videos of Su performing there, including in a duet group called Tween with her sister Himeka. This was the Autumn 2011 - Su had already been a member of the Karen Girl's trio and she was now performing with Sakura Gakuin - and within SG as the lead singer with BABYMETAL.
