Thank you for this presentation. Akaroa is charming as is the history behind it. I too, had thought there was a race to claim the area. I can't wait to visit it again soon. A great harbour cruise and out along the coast also, when the weather allows.

Because just like every other human they break the law..... Why would someone see Maori in prison as a problem and not Asians, Africans, Arabs, Europeans, Pacifica Why would these people make a documentary like this? Are they trying to start a race war? How about a war for peace?

It's a shame that architects still are pushing for those modern forms for church buildings. It already failed in the 70s. I get the idea of back then. By modern architecture you express, that you are as relevant as maybe a town hall or a business building. But churches are special places and this firm belive in modernism from the 50s also made way for preservation concerns. Orthodox get that and build classical and Catholics back than in Christchurch also got that and build a timeless Renaissance building.

Man kind does a lot of stuff to stay alive .Kills millions of animals every day .Drags up thousands of fish out of the ocean.The planet is a giant abattoir .Nothing that nice about any of it.

I f I had seen these videos 20 years ago I would have walked away from dairy farming.Its like an owner driver with big HP payments working for a transport company that is going broke.Its simple kill the cows ,no money for anybody or put up with things and earn a living.

Im mixed and I grew up in the state area. Most want to do the time for the crime to gain Mana! They tell cool prison stories too. 😂

Sorry but those extra jobs are all minimum/low wage,and the more money and power the groups benefiting at the top make the more they spend for lobbyists to keep it that way.servers , attendants,cleaners,all and the rest are not and never benefit like they like to say and definately not the community that's there and stays after they exploit it.

Maybe the crime rate went down BECAUSE more criminals were locked up for longer? Maybe those released from prison are more likely to reoffend BECAUSE they are bad people and were prone to break the law (why they were in prison in the first place!) and they simply don't care about jail? Maybe the aren't rehabilitated in prison because they CANNOT be rehabilitated? In short, maybe they are just bad people and yes even Maori are capable of being bad.

FACT CHECK: The Bail Act made it hard for maori identifying people to get bail. | Not it didn't; it does makes no distinction for ethnicity. Tikanga Maori is tribal lore; which includes warfare, slavery and other archaic stone aged barbarity | It has no place in a modern civilised society.

Because so many Māori commit so many of the crimes that get them sentenced to prison. Yet Ta Kim Workman literally said "prison is a cause of crime in New Zealand" due to his victimhood mentality.

Yea but most Maori think they are cooler than others who have done less time. Its a Mana thing. How does that fit with victim? Oh unless they get some positive attention and some money and kai.
