If this was a proby with no real exposure to the intricacies of the scba and the RIT pak, that was pretty strong work. Just keep in mind however, if the mayday firefighter is not conscious, breathing on their own, and able to assist the rescue firefighter(s), the buddy breather lines and procedures are accomplishing nothing more than wasting valuable time. If the firefighter isn’t breathing, sending air to the mask won’t change that. The member needs to be removed from the situation as fast as possible and turned over to EMS for immediate transport.

This is an awesome video! Plz consider including having to replace the mask of the downed FF in your training, as this is a possibility that a FF suffering from hypoxia or claustrophobia will remove their mask. Great training video and has helped me with a RIT presentation for my rookie probabtion

Daniel, it certainly does. This was a brand new hire. We wanted to use someone who had never been through the course to show a baseline. If I remember correctly, he was using borrowed gear until his arrived.
