My mind: ooh! Yay! I can’t wait to try this ballet! I stand up and tried to do the first warm up move. I had forgotten. I am only 11 and I have a severe ingrown toenail that needs surgery soon. I wish I could do ballet. I am rather good at it. Or… was. Give this comment I like if u want me to get better. 👇

Thank you SO MUCH for putting so much time and effort into these. I’m sure it’s not nearly as gratifying as teaching in person (and it certainly pays less) but it means the world to viewers like me. I’m a 17 year old who started musical theatre at 15. I’m doing this in the hopes of advancing in theatre as well as having fun! I never realized just how relaxing ballet could be. Even as a little kid, I dropped out of ballet because I was so self conscious. I love your kindness and great pace for these, as well as your encouragement. I wish you the best of luck in everything you do. You’re awesome 😁😁😁

I take my first ever ballet class as a 34 yr old tomorrow.. been doing this so I’m not completely lost. If anything I’ve discovered it’s a lot harder than it looks!

I’m 34 and wished I had done ballet classes as a child. This was incredible and I’m so grateful you made this series! ❤ thank you Also, I’m rehabing from an abdominal surgery and have had problems with my ankles, so this was a good strengthening exercise.

I had ballet classes when I was like 6-8 and I stopped. I suddenly felt regret out of nowhere now at 14 years old. This was kind of hard because I never stretch or work out or anything. But I still remembered the feet position things and everything. I stopped because I was the worst and weakest one at the ballet class back then... This video is very clear!❤

On an earlier barre you posted, during rond de jambe you used the word “quash “ or “closh”..? I couldn’t hear exactly what you were saying. I have not heard this ballet term before, what does it mean?
@BalletMisfit8 күн бұрын
Hi Julia! I was saying "cloche". It's when the leg swings between front and back (going through 1st position). Hope that helps~ :)
@Julia298539 күн бұрын
Thank you! What are you saying, it sounds like “quash”, ( probably not spelled correctly) I have not heard that ballet term before.

Thanks for making this class available!! I subscribed immediately, and have taken a class almost everyday since. I grew up practicing ballet and have been looking for an adult class to whip my technique back into shape. Living in a small town doesn’t afford me that luxury. You tube to the rescue!! Thanks again Ballet Misfit. This 46 year old is already feeling stronger and leaner-- My ballet teacher always said to come back to the barre-- this is just the exercise I’ve been searching for

You are amazing. You are really great at sharing your passion and it’s rubbed off on me already-I never thought I’d be so excited about ballet! Thank you for making this series! I’ve always wanted to try ballet but didn’t think I could do it and don’t have the time and money to do regular classes. I love that I can follow along at my own pace and you are wonderful at explaining all the terms and concepts! I can’t wait to start doing this regularly now that it’s accessible🩵

wow I'm so glad I stumbled into this. I've been doing ballet on and off for years and the instructers *always* encouraged the curled toes rather than extending my feet! I have a lot of unlearning to do.
