Hiya, for larger jobs there are professional service companies that work with high-level equipment. This video was designed to show a homeowner using domestic equipment how to clean small areas of their house that might be prone to algae growth due to limited light (north-facing or overhanging trees). Can it be apllied on yo a tanked wall or straight onto stone or brick?
@SaintGobainWeberUK Жыл бұрын
HI @Tombowman4489 Weber cullamix tyrolean cannot be applied to a tanked wall and also cannot be applied directly to brickwork or blockwork. The classification for this product is that it is a ‘decorative finish’ and therefore requires a base layer of render to be applied prior to application e.g. weberend OCR. For brickwork (excluding buildings of older construction with lime dominant mortar joints) they will either need to rake out the joints or apply a 3mm pass of our weberend aid following the application guidance on the technical datasheet or product packaging. For blockwork, the blocks would need to be medium density (1350-1450kg/m3) with a compressive strength value of between 3.6-7.3N/mm2 and a fair open face for receiving the render which means the block cannot be smooth or dense. If the blocks fall outside of this bracket then they will need to use our weberend aid once more, but if the blocks are low density aircrete blocks 480kg/m3 with a compressive strength 2.9 - 3.6N/mm2 then these are not suitable for rendering. Hope this helps... if you require any further technical assistance please contact our Technical Team on 01525 718877 option 2 or email [email protected] thanks

Do you need to wait long befoe you stipple roll it? Or can it be done soon as the rendaid is on?
@SaintGobainWeberUK Жыл бұрын
Thank you for your comment. Once the weberend aid has been trowel applied onto the wall, you may proceed straight away with using a textured roller or ‘burn hole’ roller to create the stipple finish over the weberend aid by using the roller in an upwards and downwards motion. Once the area is stippled, leave for 48 hours before proceeding with applying the render build-up over the top. If you are using mesh, gently bed the mesh into the surface and follow the same process above, but lather up the textured roller with the weberend aid product and apply over the mesh layer. If you require any further information, please contact our technical team on 01525 718877 option 2 or email [email protected]

Hi @aaronquick6434 sorry for the delay... cullamix tyrolean is suitable to be applied to either our weberend OCR base coat or a traditional sand and cement render. @SaintGobainWeberUK2 жыл бұрын
Hi @Ladosligese, weber CL150 has been specifically designed and tested for the effective removal of algae and fungal growth from the surface of Weber renders, household bleach may not be as effective on certain staining or if the bleach is too strong, it could affect the aesthetics of the rendered finish. weber CL150 is supplied ready to use and has been pre-diluted to the correct strength reducing any risk of damaging the render. In addition, the use of cleaning or decorating materials that have not been approved by Weber can invalidate any guarantees currently in place for the render system. If you require any further information please contact our Technical Team on 01525 718877 or email [email protected]

Hi, no scraping required for this base coat render, a top coat decorative finish will be added as the next step. can i go over this with sand and cement?
@SaintGobainWeberUK3 жыл бұрын
Hi, yes, weberend aid finished with a deep stipple should be suitable to support a sand and cement render finish. However, we also have our pre-bagged sand and cement product, weberend OCR. weberend OCR is a premixed sand and cement render which is suitable for rendering brickwork, blockwork, and concrete, among other suitably prepared substrates. • Resists the penetration of external water and has excellent weather resistance and durability, whilst allowing the structure to breathe • Suitable for hand or machine application • Factory batched for consistency • Scratch coat render • Gives the same final appearance as a traditional sand and cement render mix but in significantly less time • Can be used a base for a number of Weber decorative finishes

Hi, You need to half the speed and water that you use for your base coat application to achieve the spray texture... e.g. if you were on speed 10 and water 300, reduce to 5 speed, 150 water for the spray textured finish. 10mm cap and move the air back 5mm. We would recommend doing a small test panel for your client to review first. They do bead adhesive so why are they using the render when they supply adhesive. Also the rend aid which when I first used says 4 to 5 litres of water per bag but back says 3 to 1. Works out at over 8 litres of water. No wonder I nearly blew the mixer up, great stuff but as someone else said pink grip is great for beading.

Hi Paul, you're right we do manufacture a bead adhesive, but are yet to film the video of it being used - good spot! More info on our bead adhesive can be found here... www.uk.weber/weberend-bead-adhesive We don't recommend using Pink Grip for external application of beads as it can create staining through the render, we have been to site on many occasions to review complaints which turns out to be Pink Grip showing through... RE weberend aid, as far as we are aware there hasn't been a change in the water addition, perhaps you are thinking of weberend stipple?
