1:19 lol my dad found my old ps3 from high school and gave it to me for my 28th birthday a few weeks ago and I had all of these bangers on the console already 😂😂 I need to go back and play SOTC it’s been so long. I just bought persona 4 at 6 am and took a nap and woke up at 8 to play it and I’ve been on it for 5 hours straight. So fun.

I dunno man, KF may not be a horror series, but it can definitely be horror adjacent lol, especially the first three. There are just some times where they cross into that weird creepy area that only PS1 games really have, especially with the super close render distance 😂

After you beat the game you are returned to the game with all your progress. If yoy check your bestiary youll see that the crown will be there under the name "demon king".

The story of how the fans pulled together to get Sony to translate 5 was pretty heartwarming, there even was a petition website of sorts

Quick notes, 4 was released physically for ps3 and Yakuza 5 was only translated due to a few loud fan outcrys, and Atlus does not translate the games anymore and haven't for quite awhile

Moonlight Sword, The Sword of Light Darkslayer, the Sword that cuts all but Darkness Excellector, the Sword of Mortal potential I think the idea is that it is the vestiges of the Forest Dragon regenerating. Since it is a godly being, it would take a lot more than a mortal and a fancy sword to end it permanently. == ==Spoilers== == There is another King's Field game(I think psp) that is either a bad end future or 1 that happens several years after the 3rd game. Might be the former. But the 2 dragons when "killed" just go to a state of recovery that can last for an unknown amount of time. The final boss in the Verdite Saga is both dragons "fused" together both in states of regen. The reason the 2 never try to kill each other more overtly is because they were once 1 being, and when the 2 are near, they become mortal and can be freely killed for good, ending the Twin Dragon Gods hold of the world. == ==End of Spoilers== == In my honest opinion, I feel the black/Forest Dragon isn't evil or at least less evil than his White/Seath counterpart. We see Guyra way more after all, and Seath is the one that enveloped the world(possibly) in darkness where monsters were free to do whatever. Highly likely Forest did cause both events in 1 and 2 intentionally: evil in the Royal Graveyard and the poison of the Island. Be it to test his chosen champion or wanting to fight what evil was already there. I will say you never fight the dragons on the mortal plane but some other ethereal domain. So they can only rule through minions, agents, and champions. Sorry for my long speech of opinions and half finished game thoughts.

@@Meowmixery Yep! I'll be doing Evergrace pretty soon, I was deciding between that game and more Armored Core next and I felt like taking a break from FromSoft fantasy games so the next video will be Armored Core related. After that though I'll move on to Evergrace (and eventually Evergrace 2)

I feel like Fromsoft should do remakes of this and King's Field. They are old and so beloved. I'd like to see them with a fresh coat of paint and have their original ideas done even better.

when it comes to the games being connected, when you really start to look at DS2 and KF4 as well as some other parts of the other KF games DS2 feels way more like a KF game than a sequel to either DS1 or DeS

The giants/golems of DS2 remind me a lot of the golems from KF, also the emphasis on Kings in DS2 and the King's Ring to open special doors is very reminiscent of KF4 especially. That's something that stood out to me ever since I played KF4 and part of what makes me like DS2 so much

@@Cryveil yeah the giants and golems especially, holes in their face, using the golems to unlock doors. the basic hollows also look way more like KF undead than ds1. lots of area parallels like throne of want and shulva. I once gathered a bunch of comparison images and the similarities are everywhere

Also I think this is important to note, ds2 is the only game since KF to have hidden walls activated by pressing a button instead of swinging at them or rolling into them. and the doors of pharos always reminded me of the golem crown totems or the teleport stones.
