I keep seeing ads for testing 40+ biomarkers blood test for Perimenopause.. is this the same kind as checking for estrogen, progesterone and testosterone or just a scam? What even are biomarkers. And how are they linked to Perimenopausal women 🤔?

These posts have predatory vibes ...trying to get rich off of the unfixable...the conundrum of perimenopause and menopause is reality. There's nothing anyone can do. Maybe you could ask us all to invest in a time machine.

The sides effects feom the medicine and the procedure have been awful, but I can’t bring my hormone levels up. What can I do to mitigate those effects?

Gosh, you are doing SUCH IMPORTANT WORK! THANK YOU! I worry for the health of myself but even more for our daughters and granddaughters, and things need to change! Thank goodness for doctors like you who care. There is way too much victim blaming and gaslighting in our medical communities.

Yes! I had (have) everything EXCEPT hot flashes. (61 years old). I'm so thankful I didn't listen to my, then, OB Gyn, and start taking anti depressants/anxiety meds as she suggested. :/ Now, taking Estrodiol patch and progesterone along with exercise has helped. I'm happy we're discussing this topic more now. :)

No ice for mine. I'd add frozen organic spinach. I prefer fresh organic raspberries, but would substitute frozen if I had to do so. I also might add pomegranate seeds. I'm on the fence about the hemp. I need to read about that.

insurance should pay for those tests except the DEXA scan, my doctor told me it is covered after age 65 unless you had a fracture or certain health conditions that can lead to early osteoporosis. I was able to get it because I was told I had osteopenia in my early 40s. The establishment knows very well that once women reach menopause they lose up to 1% of bone per year ( unless on HRT), Menopause is around age 50, about 15 years of bone loss and by age 65 our hips are ready to crack. And the Mortality rate is high after a hip fracture 😮

I had this fight with my own doctor, who is a woman! She refuses to believe that passing through menopause could have any kind of effect outside what she has been taught by the current medical establishment. She believes that me taking HRT will give me cancer. She is beyond useless - to the point of being a danger to me. This needs to change. My daughter (who has the same doctor) is 38 and beginning her own journey through this change. I want things to be better for her.
