As a starter when I got these discs they were actually really nice to throw. They go really straight and are all pretty glidy which makes you almost always feel good after a throw.

I'm new, I have the River. I throw it further and straighter than most of my drivers. And wayyy more consistent

These are absolutely trash bought a pair of idio shoes and they didn’t last longer than 4 months the sole of the shoe is coming apart the punch point is coming apart very poor made shoes I recommend you do not get these shoes the 60 day warranty makes sense because that right at the point the start to fail again don’t buy these shoes they are terrible

I have both. The Essence is not a beginner disk. It is an amateur disk. I had a beat up River I played with before I lost it. I ordered a special edition River and an Essence Lucid. The two disks are different from each other. The Essence I have is a 9 speed. It wants to curve, not fly straight. The River wants to curve and land in front of me. The special edition River is more of a floppy disk than the original. It does not want to hit the target as often.

would you be able to do a short video on how this works on hills? I have a lot of course with at last a hole or two with elevation changes, and I was wondering how bad is the bag on these? How much of an incline or can you position it somehow easily so it doesn't tip over?

Absolute crap shoes and the WORST customer service. Biggest waste of time and money I've ever spent on DG. I pre-ordered back in Oct 2023, got them in Dec and by the beginning April, I couldn't even wear them anymore. Let it be known I'm a casual golfer and live in NJ so I only played a few rounds during January - February. I throw a Stratosphere DD1 and a first run S line Dd1. The s line is way more stable (red), the Stratosphere is now quite flippy

After I learned to throw more nose down my Honeys just crash and burn very easily. Also they both are somewhat beat up so I might just have to get a new one in but the first ever throw with a Honey went 125m so about 410 feet. Now I get much more reliable flights out of something more stable like Westside Discs World. Still can smash them up to 400 but with way more accuracy. If I have to go standstill I can get the Honey to go almost as far as my full power throws so there is definitely places for that more understable distance driver in the bag.
