9 years later and its still a banger

0:45 The parallel between peridot and garnet finding themselves on this new planet and their new way of thinking with garnet repeating "Welcome to earth" to peridot. Ughhhh it's so good!!! And the edit is so good! I need to rewatch this show at some point. Season 1b and season 2 and most of 3 were just contstantly so well written and animated. Not to say that the rest of the series was bad at all just that the consistent high quality fell off.

Back here because of the book of bill-a bit late to the party though-and I don’t know how many people will see this but because I got recommended this I GOTTA talk about this video: before tale of two Stan’s came out I played this video on repeat to keep myself occupied. I like most people, obviously liked how the show turned out-the finale still has some flaws but it’s a great send off that most cartoons now don’t get the chance to get sadly-but I feel this show *slightly* had the effect Steven Universe had where waiting between episodes lead the fans to make AU content like this that in some ways surpass the canon direction. Again, the direction GF took was fine at the end, but there would’ve been something much more emotional about if Dipper was the one to become distant from his sister after this, paralleling Ford and Stan’s fallout, even if at the end, they all would make up. (It is still a kids show after all) I still love GF for what it is but I thought I give my two cents for anyone who cares to scroll this far, I’m just glad this video is still up and I find it cool later this very artist who made it go to work on the official comics.
