Mixed feelings eh, you can tell they're not stoked about the place being logged they come and hack it up with no regard for the future and it feels wrong. The truth is without the logging road there would still be trails it's obvious! The only thing that would stop would be the ability to shuttle and that would not stop mountain biking one bit!

You know....its funny, I went to school (college)-got a job to get paid and did not find happiness....Now, I own 4 bikes and work at a little more than minimum wage bike shop...SUPER HAPPY and building trails

No, but I travel a lot and try to take my bike with me any chance I can---But if I was in Aptos and didn't have a bike....I'd be at Wal-Mart to buy that cheap Mongoose DJ and either sell it before I left (at a loss) or give it to some random kid.....I don't know how often you travel to Aptos---but at the end of the day you only have stories on one's death bed and I don't know if I could see it and not atleast try to ride them

Now I'm sad man, I was actually in San Jose for something else and managed to go to Aptos to know the place. Then I headed to Santa Monica and I ended up buying a brand new bike but wasn't able to go back to Aptos. So to sum up, I haven't had the chance to actually ride in "such a good spot" yet and I now feel bad about that.

Sorry man....I'll leave you with some words of wisdom from Warren Miller--"If you don't do it this year, you'll be 1 year older when you do" Heck, I watched so many Valmont bike park videos that I drove out to Colorado and slept in my truck for a month just to ride that place......So, if you are still thinking about Aptos. You only live once and its only money-No one ever dies thinking they should've have worked more

Me and my friends are trying to make some dirt jumps at this big hill made of dirt across town from our houses and it is not going very well but more and more more people are coming.but construction is coming close and we need some help to save the hill that we spend hours on building are jumps. : (
