@stacygordon-thatsmyjam
@stacygordon-thatsmyjam 10 күн бұрын
@@tiarharoberts8278 the square liners are usually intended for square trays, and the liners that look like Reese‘s cups, are intended for the round bucket style fryers. if you have the round bucket style air fryer, it might be a little difficult to use the square liners, but not impossible. The main thing is you want to be sure liner paper does not make contact with your heating coils or they could catch fire. You can always trim the liner before you put it in your air fryer as well. Good luck.!!

Ah, are you sure the glaze goes on the flat side? I've always seen them turn the cake out of the pan and spoon the glaze over the rounded part of the cake... the bottom.

@stacygordon-thatsmyjam 13 күн бұрын
@@GingerJohnson-uu9lw yes. The wording on the recipe card says “combine orange juice and powdered sugar. Pour over cake in pan. Let pan sit overnight”. Then I found one on Pinterest (Mom’s holiday orange slice cake) that says “as soon as cake comes from oven, Combine the orange juice and confectioners sugar and pour over hot cake. Let stand in pan overnight”. I have seen other people do it the way you’re talking about, but I followed the old recipes that said to do it while the cake is still in the pan. I don’t think you’d be breaking any laws by doing it the other way though. 😊

@@lindacurlee1763 if it’s fully cooked, basically you are just heating it up. I would definitely put it on low and if you add any liquid at all, I would make it minimal. Usually, if you purchase a fully cooked turkey, it comes with instructions on how to reheat. You might have better luck referring to that.

@@janeayre5633 lately I’ve been putting it in a food processor instead of chopping it by hand. I just pulse it a few times and that will give you much smaller pieces for your jam. Honestly, I’ve done it both ways. Completely thawed out and also still a little bit frozen. I’m sure logic would say that completely thawed out would be better because you’re not going to have any moisture but I just made 36 jars of this the other day, and for 24 of them, the cherries were still mostly frozen. I put them in a colander first and rinsed them a little bit to get any ice off.
