What a wonderful song. I can so relate as I was in the same career for 20 years going 100 mph and never letting up the gas, then I just hit a brick wall. I realized I was just totally burnt out and my passion was gone. I have taken some valuable time off and just now am feeling myself come back and the fire in me return. Not sure what is next, but I know I will do it with gusto and passion and try to never allow work to take over my life the way it did before. God bless you and your journey!

Ian - As long as I know you and have had the opportunity to see you lead in the workplace and in the caring work you do outside of work, you have always demonstrated a level of authenticity and compassion for those in need (if only an ear to listen) that is very rare in today's world. Your story and the song "Old Dirt Road" is something that I, and most others, can surely relate to. We reach a point in our lives where we realize that there is much more to life and much more we must consider in measuring ourselves and our purpose.
