I never had any issues with FBneo on Retroarch for playing CV1000 titles, but I'm actually using the standalone FBneo here simply because it's easier to record my inputs than on the libretro core. When you say the sound is terrible, do you mean that it's choppy or stutters a lot?

Yeah I was playing with them turned off because the voices annoyed me. Doesn't bother me as much when I'm playing nowadays though, so I just keep them at a lower volume

Yeah, it's the CRT lottes filter in Retroarch. It's my go-to CRT shader and I just really dig how it looks

Thanks dude! Yeah, I came up against the final boss with *just* enough resources to be confident in getting the clear, but I'm pretty happy with how long I was able to hold out on that one life with no bombs left.

This is crt easymode. I normally use crt Lottes (you can see it on most of my other clears when I'm on retroarch) which I think looks a lot nicer but I was getting weird performance issues with it on this game. These are both shaders that come with Retroarch

For regular Futari without the Black Label DLC, it should work just fine on the latest stable build of Xenia without needing to change anything. According to Retroarch, I logged about six hours worth of time practicing the game. Save-state practice is really good for these types of games because so much of them is just memorizing and working out your routes through the stages.

Yeah, Ms. Garra is no joke. The thing about the 1 loop CAVE games (namely this one and like, Guwange and ESPgaluda) is that I think they're usually easier than the first loop of something like DOJ or Ketsui, right up until you get to the final boss and then it's MUCH harder than anything in those games. Speaking of the final boss, I definitely kinda dropped the ball during her first phase but gave my best performance on her later phases. I still can't believe some of the dodges I pulled off starting around the 20:45 mark. And yeah, that final hand pattern definitely took some save state practice.
