THAT UTAH JAZZ OFFENSE WAS INSANELY BEAUTIFULL . . ALSO THEY HAD VVVERY GOOD DEFENSIVE PLAY. THEY WERE THE BEST TEAM IN THE 90s FOR CERTAIN. *REAL* BALLERS THAT KNOW THE SPORT (and how the world works) WOULD UNDERSTAND. 💥

crazy how i was just hearing an interview with Jeff Maline and he too was saying that Stockton was the the best PG he saw because Jeff was having under 50fg percentage but when he got to the Jazz he finally got over 50 .. which is something that Jeff always wanted to accomplish. He said that with the Jazz he always knew the ball was going to be there on time.

I remember the end of the 1985 game well. I only had the audio from the Rod Hundley call. 11 points down with a minute left. Next thing you know it’s a 2 point game. Jazz end up losing but Griff wanted the ball for a reason and made good on it.

I was born in Seattle in 1973, where I grew up. Sonics and Blazers fan. Japanese-American. I HATED how Jeff Malone KILLED the Blazers and Sonics. I have a habit of saying a player name, when I shoot with his form. In 2023 at shootarounds, teenage boys ask me, "Who is Jeff Malone?"

I think the 79-80 team was loaded. They won the National Championship. Derek Smith and Rodney McCray were also starters on that team. That was 3 players that had long NBA careers.

With today's training methods and nutrition, Darrell Griffith, Orlando Woodridge and Tom Chambers could be stars in today's basketball
@nickatnite16 Жыл бұрын
I wouldn't compare Chambers to those guys, he made all star teams and even was an all star game MVP. He was more of a star in that era than the other 2. Woodridge wasn't more than a scorer in his nba career,he was a solid nba player who gave you some scoring on some bad nba teams,nothing more. Chambers was also a scorer,while not doing anything else great,but he played on some winning teams.

@@nickatnite16 I'm speaking on athleticism with today's training methods, In other words due to his athleticism Klay Thompson is better than Larry Bird,
His friend Landon turner was as good or better so sorry for you Landon but never forgotten

I remember seeing a showing in the 90's of 60 minutes or 20/20 in which they talked about the ability to fly with hang time. They did some tests on top leapers and two that I remember were Jordan and Griffith. Apparently from their stats Jordan could hang in the air for just under a second but Griffith mad it the closest to a full second in the air. Pretty impressive.

Darrell Griffith, could easily be Jeffrey Osborne's younger brother.
