well its a PHEV... the engine is mostly a generator ... the electric motors on the other hand are very powerfull... delivering instant torque

And so the electric motors can help only so much....or rather so little. Haha. Why would locomotives have powerful diesels on board if a tiny Chinese gas engine could do the job generating enough electricity?! Haha.This BYD truck thing is obviously a Chinese travesty. Haha.
