Just pay to have the car put on a calibrated and leveled alignment machine. Remember that -1.0 caster spread to combat road crown. Customer is like "what is road crown". Also best to align with a person sitting in drivers seat unless your car drives itself....literally

The edge of the lifter does not dig into the cam. The only time the lifter digs into the cam as you say is if you're using a cam designed for for or Mopar lifters and you're using standard Chevy lifters which are smaller in diameter for the people that don't know.
