Oh my, what a beautiful movie-part of CS Lewis life with Joy. A must see-Shadowlands. But I wept it was so moving.

I'm glad this trailer is here to satiate my interest until the movie arrives in the mail. I've only started the audiobook "Surprised by Love: The Life of Joy Davidman, but I put it down for a minute. Now I'm thinking I'll have to finish it before the movie arrives. I just heard a review of this movie on The World and Everything in it podcast. They were doing three movies from 1993 that deserve a rewatch. I have seen the version from 1985 called C.S. Lewis Through the Shadowlands. I liked that movie, so I think I'll end up appreciating this one as well.

I remember this. What a tragedy. A tribute is fitting.

I watched this movie for the first time on cable for free last night. It’s a decent good movie. It’s a bit dated since 1990 but I kept on watching because I wanted to know how Michael Caine was going to change things for himself in the story.

I remember seeing this in a tiny little cinema. There may have been 35 seats in total. At the end, the entire room was sobbing - men and women bawling like babies. Hugely underrated movie and a beautiful love story.

I started living when I started loving you ! One of my all time favorite movie lines and a beautiful film as well.

I just watched " the edge" again. I amazed how extraordinary Anthony Hopkins is.

The trailer is as much a snore as the movie. Amazing. Neither Winger’s charm nor Hopkins deference seem to help. Just read A Grief Observed by the man. There, saved you two hours.

I keep coming back here for 1:53. This scene lives rent-free in my head. Ahhh, Johnny was and still is so cute. Richard too.
