But for those of you who, like me, were curios about the opening narration quotes, I decided to find the episodes through google, and copy them word for word for the reading pleasure of Reign: The Conqueror fans. vibhu verma this anime hasn't be created to be historically correct. The principal element is the importance of Alexander for the birth of western civilization. When he says "i'm here to destroy the world", he wants say that his life and his campaing destroyed the old vision of the existance both in Europe and Asia, based on myth, superstition, autocratic power and, most important, relegated around the Mediterranean. Philosopy is the centre of this anime.

This anime lacks in applying history properly. I was expecting a lot more. And what the hell was last part fighting with King Porus of harappa, India. Alexander was defeated in punjab, India (now in pakistan), they didn't enter an inch. According to greeks they were victorious, according to evidence found by britishers, alexander lost badly and was left to live alive by porus and he even gave lot of gold to porus. Overall this anime is historically incorrect in many places.

I love this song and all of Peter Chung animation, Reign The Conqueror is the best.

There are also tanks, flying machines, and robots, and you're butthurt about plate armor? The show's basically science fiction with a historical narrative. If you wanted historical accuracy watch a documentary or some history channel show.

IS THE IRON AGE, REAL MEN DID NOT NEED PANTS to slaughter enemies back then, really. Just kidding, the anime classic took plenty of liberties with original story but the result is awesome anyhow.
