Kevin, this is beautiful, and very well done! You forgot one of the requirements for the contest though! You were supposed to include a description of what strategies you planned to use to bring your story to life, and how you implemented them into the music. You have a great description of your inspiration, but nothing about the musical strategies you came up with to translate it into music. I'll give you a 12-hour grace period to add this to the description of your video. Hope you see this in time! :)

Thanks! I guess I misunderstood. I'm...still not sure I understand, but I'll try to add that as best I can.

@kevinmkraft no worries! You've shared some Insight into the story, so now I'd just like some more Insight into how you came up with strategies to bring it all to life with your music. How did you decide what themes you needed, which instruments to use, etc. :)

This song has subtleties and you did not gloss over them but acknowledged them. It is great of you to cover this "deep cut" from an album (and band) the U.S. media seems to have ignored for decades despite being one of the most impressive albums ever. Thanks for sharing your talents!

Hi Kevin! As soon as I heard you start to talk about it, I knew it was not "The Pina Colada Song." Hearing it, I knew right away too, much more bluesy. You are a very talented player and interviewer! :-)

Hi,there is already a charakter like yours,like you mentioned ,AND there is already another japanese anime sword fighting charkter named Dororo. Sorry that is suspicius. Okay it's hard to have creative ideas not already existing,but ....
@kevinmkraft10 ай бұрын
Hi. Thanks. Never heard of Dororo. Sword-fighting characters are nothing new in anime. I know of another fictional character named Daremo. The character Stick from Daredevil carries a cane sword. Sword style? Just put in "reverse grip sword" in your search engine. It didn't originate with any of these characters. "Suspicious"? Nah. "Familiar," perhaps. The distinctions are to be found in the individual CHARACTERS. So, with all due respect, I encourage you to read up on each character so that you know how they are different. (I'm a bit "suspicious" that you didn't do this before criticizing Doboro, frankly.) Nevertheless, I do thank you for taking the time to respond. It is appreciated. Just know that the attributes of Doboro, from his name to his swordsmanship, were very well considered.

I've made about 5 or 6 Diddley Bows so far. Some are electric, some are acoustic, all with different gauge strings. When my kids were still in middle school they had a great music teacher. She was really into homemade instruments, so I got to go in and do a couple of demonstrations for the class about Diddley Bows and how to make and play them. I miss those days!
