It really depends what kind of volume each store is moving, I don’t work at Walmart however our gross profit goal is around 32-33% however it is a very low volume store. You also have to account for the quality of the produce you getting in and where it is coming from, if it is coming from a warehouse where all of the produce is just sitting waiting to be shipped out most likely you’re going to get shotty produce that goes bad fairly quickly and may not sell very fast or needs to be reduced. I know Walmart gets some pretty good quality produce in and most of the time is very high volume so if I had to guess their profit goals are more like 45%, bare in mind some products are 300-400% mark up.

I was already meat department manager and I got along well with the assistant and store manager so they asked me if I wanted it

But they both have said how good of a job I do and that I’m very passionate. I’m trying to get assistant dairy manager. 4$ an hour increase
