Any chance of you taking a look at Kingdom, Dungeon and Hero, which got released today? It looks like an interesting mix of Shadow Empire and AoW...

I watched your shorter guide and that was a big help as I'm new to this edition of the series. I'm getting a lot of crashes on the new DLC with games being lost. But your tip surrendering has helped me at least earning some of those points.

I think Dominion 3 is Titans, demigods and creatures at the same level of power(at least in lore) demilichs are beings at the level so they get to be there, while Dominion 2 is similarly great magical beasts and creatures of similar powers, hence why lich and the others are there. It makes sense when you think of Dominion as how well the Pretender can spread and maintain his influence by their own power

damn. I played so much stellaris and bought DW2 now. (didnt't yet play. and great content BTW!!!) i know it might sound silly. but what i don't like in both games: SOUND IN DAMN SPACE. there is no sound! i'm usually not a sucker for graphics. but in space game, i just love the eye candy. i love flying my ships in star citizen. it looks so good. stellaris manages to look pretty too. DW2 does not. i zoomed in on the sips and sometimes they are built very weird with empty spaces within, which looks so ridiculous. i get it though. you can't make it that pretty with a combat and economy like that.. it'd be a lagfest. But the worst part, are the explosions. the explosions look like explosions of a WWII browser game from 2001. Don't get me wrong. i think i will love the game. i'm 100% sure. Just some things that irritate me >.>

I slept on this game, never really played the others except for dabbling abit in AoW 3, planetfall was on my radar and I never even looked into AoW4 until the other day when I bought it accidentally cos I was drunk, figured hey I've bought it now might aswell play it, it is a phenomal game! I absolutely love the RP potential and story building around your Pantheon. I learned alot from your earlier videos, thanks for those, really looking forward to any future AoW4 videos.

I read in the manual that raiders don't do anything when you are blockading an enemy.

Personally, I am really hyped about the next DLC, including 3 additional variants of halflings and the luck mechanic.

Kinda wish Aurora 4X had a similar Graphic menu. Even if you couldn't see ships on the map it would be a cool addition.

I believe the Abductor can only abduct ONE enemy, then it becomes like a stationary spawner of the little skitterling things.

First Age of Wonders game for me but what a game ....wow

My single complaint is the happening that was added (the fey mist attack) seems to always happen so I hope as a soonish update they add more things like the fey. There are many possibilities without dlc like a lich forming undead hordes or chaotic goblins and orcs banning together in a middle earth style alliance.

There is a undo buton whe you make wrong move.. İt can only be do ones so after wrong move you have to do it..

10:52 The "Keepers of Knowledge" trait is from the free update, so yeah, I guess it is the only DLC trait.

The traits sound so grand and flamboyant: You have darkness affinity, which allows you to choose the hidden in the darkness start. This then gives you a +25% flanking bonus? It's a bit anticlimactic, isn't it? Additionally, it feels like they missed an opportunity to further distinguish the different planes from one another. I also still miss something between each skirmish that makes me want to start the next round! I want to love this game so badly :|

This the very last major dlc?

They changed Reavers and Dark culture as well as mystic FYI. Small changes, along with the complete rework of mystic. Hoping this makes them go back and add something to feudal. It needs some love.

I agree with you that ore is the number one recourse i struggle with but i would say my second would be energy because of all of my vehicles i use to transport my units mixed with the upkeep of my buildings. Mid to late game i usually dont struggle with influence and never really build towards it

This gives me an idea for my Gizurean ships. Frigates and up are carriers and they usually have good mounts for missiles on the back or side. Set the entire fleet to cautious and really let the swarm do it's thing.

27:00 Rim Mountains has a total of 174 resources. Of that, 87 are available there and 45% of the total resources, or 78 are gathered in Athel Loren. If you were to put a Bramble fort in Old Giant Woods- also adjacent- with an admin of 25- it would gather a further 20 resources. Since the total is now 98 resources leaving the province, only 76 resources (174-104) are left available for local use. If you put a fort in Rim mountains, the full 174 resources are available there, but none would go anywhere else regardless of fort status. Fort placement is crucial to recruitment and defense. BTW, the forts give a bonus to recruitment points, but only to the province with the fort. So, best to find a high population province near resources ideally in a strategic area.

I recently got Gladius and have been watching your videos as I've been playing the Sisters faction. One thing I've noticed is that the Sisters seem to be one of the worst mid-late game factions. The reason for that is their healing. They have only two units that heal natively: Hospitallers who can only heal infantry, and Saint Celestine who can only heal herself. Notably, they have no unit which can heal vehicles. Which is a problem because their infantry taps out at Tier 6 (Celestian Sacresants). They're ok for a Tier 6 unit, but their power pales in comparison to the Tier 10 Cerastus Knight-Lancer (a vehicle). The game does give you two methods of repairing vehicles quickly. First, the Sacral Valor Sacred Rite. That restores 2HP to all of your units with Shield of Faith. Most of your units (including vehicles) come with that, but three can't get it at all (Arco-Flagellants, Mortifier and Zephyrim). The Mortifier's a vehicle, so not getting this healing is particularly bad for it. You also need to research the Tier 9 Universal Catechism to apply this to your Lightning Figher, Avenger Strike Fighter and Cerastus Knight-Lancer. You should do this anyway since even a small amount of damage reduction helps, but that's another high cost essential research item. And it's four vehicles Sacral Valor can't repair without further research (one of which it will never work on). The other way to restore health to your vehicles is to equip the Uncreator Gauntlet to your heroes. This can restore 8hp every 3 turns to any unit within 1 tile of the hero, and IMO it's a great item for any faction, but especially the Sisters. Unfortunately, they only have two Hero types they can spam, since Saint Celestine is a unique unit. Given all her damage reduction and the fact she's an infantry unit who also has self healing, Saint Celestine is a great choice to draw enemy overwatch, but with only one of her she just can't be everywhere she's needed. Your other heroes have good damage reduction but only a base 6hp, so it's more dangerous to use them. None of your infantry units have more than 10hp as their base, which means you often need to use vehicles to draw out overwatch if you want the unit to have a chance of survival. Which is another reason why the Sisters need better ways to repair their vehicles and can really suffer late game.
