My doc ordered a CT scan, then referred me to a respiratory surgeon who ordered another CT scan, bronchioscopy, was cancerous, then PET scan to stage it.

❤ Amen Sister I was diagnosed in 2022 with Andocarcenoma stage 1A2 No problem they said. Opt out of Surgery for several reasons. In 2023 Did 33 Rounds of Radiation treatment I was stable until The beginning of this year. Found out 3 things Wish I would have just went for the surgery 😢 Now doing Chemo/ immunotherapy I have the BRACA Mutation This means my only Lung Cancer cure is Surgery 😢 I see a Surgeon the End of November 2024. Yes very nurvise it's a 6 hr drive 😢 to just see the Surgeon is he going to be able to get out all my Lung Cancer? Is he going to tell me I'm not a candidate? So many Questions going on in my Brain. I try to always turn a negotiation into a Positive so I decided to Share my JOURNEY/STORY with everyone I can possibly reach. My Motto is we are All Stronger Together 🦸♂️🌠🦸♀️ Love #Go2forlungcancer

I had my CT scan 2 weeks ago. I have an appointment to see respiratory doctor in 6 days. The wait is the killer. I received the report tonight and reading it and trying to understand it I couldn't sleep. I have multifocal nodular opacities noted at the right upper lobe, including a spiculated lesion measuring up to 18 mm. Mediastinal adenopathy noted. Multiple small and enlarged mediastinal lymph nodes are noted, the largest at the precarinal nodal region measuring up to 15mm. I hope someone who understands this will comment. Thank you.

I'm 22 mins. into the video where you said that the lymph nodes shouldn't be enlarged, and a biopsy is needed right away. Enlarged lymph nodes are not connected to the nodules, and more serious???

Thank you so much Dr Weiss your positive look on new developments is great. I think that the biggest problem is when your diagnosis with SCLC you want help asap and your Doctor does not talk about trials because patients think he’s putting me off not realizing once you start chemo /radiation you can oh back and get in a trial Thank You all 🙏♥️

Interesting that according to the entrance criteria mentioned here I qualified for a screening. This option was never mentioned or offered by my primary during annual physicals. I’m now 1 year into treatment for stage 4 NSCLC. It would have been nice to catch this earlier….
