This tune, written by a friend of my parents, was played at my mother’s funeral. Always brings a tear to my eye. This is a beautiful version.

Sorry, cannot agree , this is a way above average attempt to interpret a classic Shetland composition and it was well received by the audience, listen to it again!?!
@mlawrobertson6 жыл бұрын
The late Willie Hunter was a generous spirit. He would probably have loved to hear Nicola play his music.

Totally agree with you. Classical players struggle (especially with faster tunes), but at least she had a good stab at it. She has a CD (Homecoming) of Scottish tunes and the traditional ones are not well done, apart from 'My Love is Like a Red, Red Rose.

Wonderful stuff! I love it when you try and break out of the traditional harmonies with the keyboard, especially the bass octaves. Be as brave as you dare and throw whatever you like in the mix. Good folk music, like J S Bach can take a real beating! I've enjoyed listening to you.
