This is great! Do you need a fly system for this or is is motorized?
@sewwhatinc3 жыл бұрын
These are motorized systems. Typical trim required to hide the drape and mechanism once deployed would be around 5 feet above the proscenium.

If I could ask you how you designed this drapery? I keep looking at it....because it looks seamless. Are you using several long pieces of fabric that are sewn together where the draw string meets? I want to make these for use in a temporary setting.
@sewwhatinc4 жыл бұрын
Correct - the fabric is run vertically and seamed at the draw lines. Good luck with your project, Don.

RIP Lem too...Can you say whether this particular piece is printed using your method,or actually an original hand-painted artwork? How can one tell the difference?..Thanks.
@sewwhatinc8 жыл бұрын
Michael Hollamby Hi Michael - this piece was hand drawn (digitally) by John Rios of John Rios Designs as a scalable vector file. Once approved by the band, the electronic file was delivered to us and we then digitally printed it on the wide format printer. This piece was a direct print method onto flame retardant fabric. From a distance it is difficult to tell the difference between printed and painted, especially when the art is styled to look like a painting. Up close however, one would see and feel the texture of the paint on the canvas if it was scenically painted by hand. I hope this helps.
