There are still illegal brothels operating out in parts of Queens - but definitely no longer in Times Square. All of the porn theaters and brothels and most of the strip clubs were kicked out of the area in the mid - late 90s when Giuliani was mayor as part of his cleanup campaign. It is nothing like it used to be in terms of seediness/dangerousness

This happened to me once. When I visited NY 2 Mickey Mouse mascots took a picture with me and they wanted a 5 dollar tip for each so total 10 dollars

Furthermore, it's posible for someone to be mistakenly declared dead, -there have certianly been such documented cases. The statement "there's nothing I could have done" makes me wonder just how many people who ARE still alive. ...may have had their death assured by such medical attitudes.

"The corpse remains deceased" in reference to the first case presented here isn't necessarily acurate. His body may have just then briefly come "back to life" in the morgue before dying for good. This is actually scientificly posible as death isn't always a linear sudden phenomenon.
