Hi! Very informative thank you! Do you know if you are obliged to return to work after maternity and if so, for how long so you don’t pay back your maternity allowance? Thanks in advance!
@collinemontagne
@collinemontagne 2 күн бұрын
You never pay back the maternity allowance 😅 If you are given it, you are given it - the money and time off. Your time off ends when that maternity time ends. After that it is up to your company and you to work it out. You can use sick leave, holiday time, and unpaid leave after that, but there will be no financial allowance. In theory they can't fire you for a year after the child is born, but you can resign.

Do I need a codice fiscale and if so how do I get one? Not allowed to travel outside the country?? What if it's within three months of getting to Italy and I could claim I'm a tourist?

Yes you always need a CF, it is given to you by the Anagrafe, when you arrive in Italy, just go to the local office with proof of where you are living. or you can apply through an embassy before you arrive into Italy. As long as you are in Schengen timing, or have a valid visa stamped into your passport you can do as you please. it is when those expire and all you have is a permesso (most often during renewals)

Very useful information. Thanks a lot. A quick question. I heard that once you open a partita IVA, you have to pay the tax for minumum of revenue of 5000 euro anyway. Regardless of you having client or not. Is it true?

I couldn't date my way out of a paper bag, but i've had no problem making friends . The idea of online dating really creeps me out ; guess i'm super old school meaning it seems rather important to meet a person in person.

Wow. What a topic! First, what you expose is not reality, but your perception of reality after prolonged residence. However, I don't think you could fully understand objective reality yet. Let me give an example. I live in Piedmont, my mother was from Piedmont and my father from Puglia (there are not many Pugliesi in Piedmont because they preferred Lombardy). My grandfather immigrated here 70 years ago, after the war. The American friend talks about Piedmont as if it were one. It is not. Turin and the towns within 20 kms is one thing (that's where the Sicilians and Calabrians are concentrated, to a lesser extent the immigrants from Basilicata and their descendants) and the rest of Piedmont is another thing, because the majority of the population is native or comes from other parts of the North. Turin is the second southern city after Naples. Similarly, it can be said that there is no unitary South. Each region has its own problems and they are different. Then, both in the North and in the South, social classes have always existed and they have always behaved differently even within the same area. Finally, it should be pointed out that the descendants of southerners, in the North also behave differently because certain aspects of the South that you now consider traditional were formed after their emigration (so they were not their own originally). For example: expensive marriages were impossible in 1950 or 1960.

Your video appeared randomly and I decided to open it. Just listened for 40 seconds and, without knowing the rest, I must say that it's BETTER THAN 99% OF EVERYTHING OUT THERE. Moving to a country is all about that, a real life with bureaucracy, not eternal holidays. We need registration to work, be able to secure and set up a home, eventually find a job/clients/whatever, look for doctors when sick, pay income tax, etc. I had to do all that in another European country, it's no joke. Keep up the good work. (Edit: typo)

Cosa Nostra, Camorra and N'Drangheta are more powerful and ruthless than American Mafia. Back in the 80s and 90s the Corleonesi and Toto Riina was like the Medellin cartel and Pablo Escobar at the same era. They killed judges, politicians and police officers.

No you have to wait for your appointment, it may not ACTUALLY be there yet. They most likely won't let you in, if you really can't make it that day, you can try a bit earlier and say you are traveling etc. But it is better to go at the appointment or after!

@@collinemontagneI just want to update. I think it depends on where you live as now I have got my permesso di soggiorno (with a lot of effort). I want to share to all immigrants who are stressful and struggled with the procedure (it really is). If it is necessary, try to communicate with the questura as much as possible. However, I hope this process should be improved in the future (keep my finger crossed).

Hi Evelyn! Thanks so much for your video. I am actually planning on going to live in Torino in a few months and I was wondering if you are still around the area. I have been trying to find information about the rent prices and how to find a place to rent. I know from experience that renting something is a nightmare, at least that was the case when I was in Rome, but I want to know if maybe in Torino is a little bit easier???? Thanks :)

Freelance VISA follows a very different process, you are correct that you need to enter the Decreto Flussi (IF you don't have an Italian degree) and they actually just opened for this year! You can choose an automatic, just find a school that offers it. The only thing to consider is that if you take the test on an automatic, then you will not be allowed to drive anything besides that. So, you won't be authorized to drive a manual... only automatics.
