It’s not the original trilogy ok…cool we get it . Moving on, the game is actually pretty good . Combat is fantastic , the build crafting freedom is much more improved , and I liked the fact that we have a whole new story separate from commander shepherd . Yes Ryder has insecurities , doesn’t have respect of his team , and isn’t a total badass ….he literally is a regular dude who served as a watch guard for the mass relays and is thrown into being a pathfinder /leader of the Hyperion responsible for thousands of people on a mission that he HAS to succeed in out alone in deep space with no training . Who the heck wouldn’t feel pressure ?!? The game is great of course it’s not the original trilogy quality but it’s not supposed to be . Form your own opinion

I will say I wholeheartedly agree. It's the "cool", peer accepted opinion to make fun of and hate the game, but I played thru it at least 3 times that I can remember. The visuals are good, the gunplay and combat was fantastically done, whoever was in charge of that should be given raises. The facial animations were patched and the writing was, okay. I didn't appreciate the Ryders having a more...colorful, vocabulary but I can gloss over that. I'll be playing it again once my current Shepard trilogy run finishes.

Years later and game is still trash. Exploration, writing, acting, plot, characters, AI, quest design, and main character are all just awful. Nothing you did mattered. You had no accomplishments. Anybody who played thos game past the shotty ice planet gets a handshake from me for sticktoitiveness

Andromeda was my introduction to this franchise and I LOVED IT!! This game made me what to play 1-3 so I could understand more the reaper story and the true mission of the initiative. I’m a die hard Dragon Age fan and It was after inquisition that I played andromeda and all the dlc had already came out. The class system was different for me but I liked it a lot as I could diversify my abilities to fit my natural play style. And I thought the whole story was epic! 31:38 - Yas!! They arnt colonists but refugees! 😢

I come from the future. Doing my 3rd Andromeda playthru in 2024. The gameplay is far superior than any game in the trilogy and has very nice atmosphere and world design. The characters are really bad in this game though. Liam and peebee are some of the most insufferably annoying beings I've ever met.... anywhere. The dialogue is so terribly written in many cases. As if 10 year olds were the sole writers. It's laughably bad at times. Drack is awesome though. The kett as enemies just aren't compelling at all.

I really appreciate you making this, especially with this focus. I watched Eva years ago in high school, and I was definitely a pretty big fan. I didn't watch any of the rebuilds and didn't feel that interested- my take was something like 'yeah, doing it over again's cool, but that's what all the fanworks have been about for years anyway.' Over time my tastes changed, my opinion towards Eva soured. I came increasingly to see it as a series for pretentious people who overanalyze and obsess over insignificant things. I used to like it- but things changed. I'd changed... right? This video had a lot of moments that hit pretty hard. It's easier to admit that there isn't shame in liking something, it's interesting to see subtext that I'd overlooked because I'd taken a more cynical, judgmental view of the franchise... and it's good to remember that I enjoyed Eva for much the same reason I like Kojima's stuff. It's always important to remember that you aren't alone in your fears and struggles, and that you never really grow out of needing that.

After a long time off from Mass Effect (until Legendary Edition), I had forgotten ME Andromeda. I recently rediscovered it. The drunk bitch floating in Eos pissed me off. The faces, body animations SUCKED. The floating bitch is now on the ground, the animations and faces though, still suck. HOWEVER....there is a lot to like. Crafting weapons and armor from ME1 - Check. Being able to respec characters - Check. Exploration? Check. Lots of good stuff. I think the writing could have been better. Combat is flawless. No character blocks, want too be a tech? Check. That profile doesn't work for me...check, Soldier. Good stuff. Would have liked more paragon/renegade options (like shoot the asari and keep the remnant device.).

I own Evangelion OG and EOE im going to watch the rebuild in order now on Amazon prime . I’ll come back to this review when im done to give some input as well . Loving the animation for “you are (not) alone” so far it’s a recap I did noticee the water is already red tho in the beginning so a suttle difference so far . Either way I love NGE and am looking forward to this retelling .

fuck yeah. i replayed CC a few years back after playing through it once as a FF7 fanboy in high school and i was aghast at basically all of what you talk about. Zack fuckin sucks! He learns that Shinra is gangstalking him and his girlfriend and he thinks it's fine! A goddamn shinra killdrone rocks up to his gf's place and the NSA agent watching her says it must have been a malfunction don't worry about it! Like, he's either the most amoral person to ever exist or he's so stupid it makes Shinra more evil for hiring him at all. And yeah, if it was written more competently, more honestly, with more daring, they could have made it a story really worth telling! Zack and Angeal having their dreams corroded and worn down until they're clinging to some ephemeral conception of honor as some veil to hide their guilt, Sephiroth becoming more bitter as his only friends desert Shinra - and, by extension, him - hell, even Genesis could be compelling as he reckons with being Ship of Theseus'd out of his own body by the alien cells replacing his own with identical copies he doesn't control, delaying his own death by turning people who look up to him into copies of himself, constantly reciting the same poem because, so long as he still remembers it, as long as it still means something to him, it means he's still himself. They could have cooked! Looking forward to and dreading Rebirth in equal measure, but only looking forward to your follow-up!

Really enjoyed this on KH3 - really didnt understand the amount of backlash it got, I thought similarly that it worked really well as a thematic tie up. Feel very rewarded also for just finishing twin peaks in time to watch this lol

I platinumed the game. The combat is extremely fun. The story however, was told in an extremely boring way & the characters were mostly boring as well. On my second playthrough, I skipped every single cutscene. The facial animations didn't really bother me & I didn't really have any issues with bugs. The problem was the writing.

Andromeda is crap. The characters are like PS2/Xbox which is an absolute disgrace to be on a 8th gen console. Thank Anthem and EAs dead brain cells for andromeda being a shit show.

Excellent video your editing is incredibly confident here. Actually never played Crisis Core knew you destabilised Wutai to extract mako and assumed it "knew what it was doing" so it's very funny to find out that it actually wasn't at all critical of the evil mega corp for having a paramilitary organisation that aids it in its goals.

The Wutai stuff is the closest the game gets to being actually compelling in this regard but it's over before it even begins, really. The conversation I show in this video is legitimately the only time the Wutaian perspective is presented. Getting ahead of myself here but I am extremely happy that Remake has dug much more into the Wutai stuff.

My biggest mistake was buying the remaster to the ps5 and not the switch cause its so hard to sit through it in session longer than 30 minutes max

@@finnj.1786 i guess in the end its nostalgia for me cause i used to play it on the way to and back from school, oor while waiting till club activities started. I remember being glued to my phone(i had a psp emulator since my parents were strict) and when i finally was an adult and got my first paycheck i bought a psps and the game and binged it. Might be nistalgia or that its literally better on the psp but i love the game. But something with the remaster feels akward
