Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear this! One would think the city would have protected it. It's such an iconic and beautiful part of Philadelphia. The thought of it being replaced by some ugly apartment building makes me mad. And sad, sad, sad... I'm glad they're at least giving you some time to save pieces of it. This is a lovely tribute video. ❤

Pathetic that they won't remove the mural in sections and reinstall it elsewhere or better yet, that the architect of the new building didn't see the value of this community treasure and incorporate the mural in various ways. What a lack of vision to destroy such a historic and imaginative work that adds so much to the community.

They took the idea from the Philadelphian natives of 1950. 13th and Indiana there you will find the originals. The city of now calling it BREWRYTOWN and changing everything unique about a great neighborhood in North Philly
