When you mentioned the movies they were in I noticed you left out the 1997 movie Metro. Theres a pretty awesome chase between a ‘69 cad deville and a ‘91 explorer through the streets of San Francisco. For anyone who has not seen it I recommend it. That chase is totally worth it.

My dad had a deep jewel green 1991 Eddie Bauer, he replaced it with a GC limited in 1994 and then a 5.9 GC but I remember fondly the green explorer, very roomy and comfortable...

Can't beat a 1st gen for looks! The boxy styling and clean lines are just a great throwback to simpler times. Another thing to mention is the captain chair seats were really comfortable, and the leg room isn't half bad for a 6'1 guy like me.

The 1996 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer Edition rwd 4 speed automatic 4.0 liter V6 kept snapping the flexplates. I took it to a transmission shop twice and I think they should have rebuilt the front pump and put a new torque converter bushing and seals. Plus replaced the torque converter and flexplates but they didn't so it kept breaking. I should rebuilt it myself. The flexplates are 1/16" inch steel and super thin. There are no billet flexplates for the 4.0 that I could find online. The manual transmission 4×4 version must be the most reliable 4.0 liter V6 version.

Great video I just bought my first explorer 2025 platinum model metallic white with black roof,the black really makes the vehicle it offsets and sets it apart! Also love the panoramic sun roof , and I especially love the duel massage seating along with heating and cooling seating. The heated steering wheel is a very nice touch pun intended! Lol What a luxury… Love it😊👍

I wish there was some commentary on the “new” 2.3 version that’s in here. I see that power specs are the same but how does it drive versus a ‘20-24 2.3? I have a ‘21 2.3 AWD and the power train is so inconsistent. Sometimes it shifts smooth and other times it feels almost like a cVt , with engine rpms and response when not in Sport mode. Also, I can rarely get 18-19 city in this thing and this years epa numbers are way higher even with AWD. So despite the same numbers, are the driving characteristics much improved on the 2.3?

To bad they did not bring the Everest over to the states, it would be a much better Explorer. Its more like the old Explorer with a body on frame setup and looks way better too. I think they drop the ball on towing also, 5,000 is not enough should be atleast 7700 pounds in towing like the 2024 Ford Everest. The 2024 Ford Everest would be a much better vehicle to have over here in that it could compete with the new Toyota Land Cruiser offroad.
@edmarsh84886 ай бұрын
Yes. Ford is going to lose my business to a GX550 b/c they want to protect the Explorer. If they brought the Everest, they would probably get my business. Plus there is a market for both Explorer and Everest. Toyota proves it.

Difference between a "Blowout" and deflation, a blowout is a type of explosion where the energy reverberates through the suspension, upsetting it and causing instability, in turn causing a crash

"As long as you don't do anything to upset the car..." Like steer to get off to the side of the road? If this wasn't biased, I don't know what is.
