Hi Danny, thank you very much for your great sound and PSG playing. I love PSG music very much and have been following you on KZbin for a long time. In Europe there are some good PSG players: such as Koos Biel(NL), David Hartly(UK), and other good players from the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and Scandinavia. A steel meeting is held annually in the Netherlands and also in Ireland. So I will pass on your name to the organizers in the Netherlands and perhaps they can ask you to appear as a special guest during Steelmeeting/days. IKeep on playing and we will continue to love you playing PSG in your special way. I will come back to you here later. We'll keep in touch! Best regards Jimmy

When the speed limit on Route 81 was 55 (and religiously enforced in Pennsylvania), driving south, it would take exactly 4 hours and 1 minute to cross the entire state. As you drove, you could switch to any radio station, and it would sound like this man’s steel guitar (or bluegrass; or a radio televangelist.)

Danny, I’ve enjoyed your “Crazy Arms” vdeos performed on a variety of steel brands. Being a steeler myself, it appeared obvious to me that the Sho-Bud was your favorite. You seemed to play ON the others, but played WITH the Sho-Bud. You became one with the Sho-Bud. Great stuff.

Very interesting version but a great one! Can listen to this song over and over again and you will hear a different version every time. Steve Palousek has one of the best I ever heard along with Paul Franklin of course. Jody Cameron also has a inique approach. The thing about different versions, is that you get to hear somwthing unique that catches your ear and now you want to implement into your version. Great stuff!

I tend to agree with you and I know all of those players you are speaking of. And I know what they can do. Especially Steve he's very over the top.. He's really good. We both had the honor of playing with Ray Price.. And ray always told me to play It pretty and tasteful. I tend to not want to do this song over the top it needs to be treated like a blue's song.. I could do more and I could do less but I'm just messing around trying different guitars.. This arrangement is not set in Stone ever.. I change It up.. But I definitely like to keep it in the mellow range

I agree Danny. There are so many things and styles you could play with this song, ANY song for that matter. Keep up the great work and videos. I always thought that nobody had a bar roll like Herby Wallace as i took lessons from him. Such a great teacher and human being! May he RIP! Day had that touch also……

A lot of players were great.. 🎉What I'm displaying here took me about 45 years to get to the point where I could make it sound like this.. Not easy.. Plus I play several other instruments.. But Emmons is my biggest influence in the person that I want to sound like the most.. I do a lot of my own things as well as things that I got from him.. I liked herbys playing pretty well when I started out but as I got better I didn't see him the same way.. There are very few players that I really really really respect.. I don't mind somebody saying that I sound a lot like Emmons. But when they say I sound like buddy Charlton they don't know what they're talking about.. Ha ha ha ha@@nealyeagley1426

No the curly Chalker version His is much slower and much different.. This is more of the way Emmons did it. And then I did all my own ideas pretty much.. There's a couple buddy licks in there
