one criticism I can think of is the breaks between each movie, having it broken up like it is ruins the pacing a bit.
@NonsensicalReality10 күн бұрын
@@jager477 not the first to mention that. I actually changed some of my following videos to test a different style and I liked that too. I like both though because I enjoy when one scene goes into the next and it still flows. Not as well as the originals scene's flow of course but I enjoy seeing the similarities between movies which to me is a more interesting artistic expression than me putting scenes back to back. Then it feels more like a playlist. The only control you get there is the order in which you put the scenes in.

We are literally never going to get another Disney movie like Great Mouse Detective where the villain casts aside all sense of dignity and rejects the very idea of redemption in favor of straight tearing chunks out of the hero. Was it "family friendly"? Oh, hell no. Not even close. Was it amazing to witness the mask of civility drop and reveal the rat he always was? Absolutely. Honestly, we're never going to get a movie like *any* of these again because that would imply that proper brutes *exist* in Disney movies anymore.

This is the biggest difference between sympathetic villains and classic villains. The sympathetic villains, while ultimately you don't want them to succeed, you still hope they get something of a happy ending. Classic villains have pretty much no redeeming qualities and you usually hope they get karma dumped on them like this.
@NonsensicalReality2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I like experiencing both too. Sometimes you just wanna see the full on bastard of a character with no nuance obliterated and other times some depth and layers of understanding what influenced them to do the things they did.

And people say Disney Is for kids seriously I've seen all of these movies and those people who say that need to watch them as well in Tarzan we have one of the biggest dark things in Disney I really big thing that they would never show again in today's time Clayton being hung and in Oliver and company we have yet another dark thing a man driving on the train tracks and his dogs dieing of being electrocuted and then the dogs own dieing of a train crash another thing they wouldn't do again people might say oh it's just a happy sunshine and rainbow kids thing but no we have moves like this where it shows the antagonist dieing we excluding Clayton but we see his body's shadow ya get the point I'm trying to make Disney had a dark side there just no willing to open it up and let it show again

Bravo sir! I really felt your anger in this piece. I wanted to ask, did you actually let the cup go mouldy or was the actor living in a pig stye? The answer isnt really that important. However, you can get those plain white coffee cups from Asda for about a quid so there really isnt any need to turn the situation of the dirty cup into an existential crisis. I do in fact appreciate a movie however short that doesnt push disneys sudden woke agenda down my neck. Like i get that theres other cultures out there, but come on disney - whatever happened to mistreating the female protaganist and having prince charming sweep in to save the day and fairies and shit? One note of criticism though. On a first viewing, I'd happily give this a 3 out of 5 but id add another one out of 5 if a guy in a hotdog outfit with tits throws a pie in his face. Id add another 1 out of 5 if a woman in a chicken suit with a kfc bucket on her head appeared and farted in his face while slapping her butt feathers in his face and then jacked the guy off in the cup, because in a black and white movie his spunk would look like the stain now isnt there and then the moody fecker would have something to smile about. maybe he dates her for a year then turns gay and buggars the hotdog guy. Thats kind of progressive and PC but done right. Maybe then the hotdog and the chicken leave him and his cup misanthropy alone and go off together and he decides to get his act together and goes to Asda for the new cup? I dunno dude but the only thing missing was a happy ending, literal or otherwise. Anyhow good job, that killed a few minutes while i wait for eastenders. Hope youre having a good day. peace.
@NonsensicalReality2 жыл бұрын
Haha well this has certainly been an interesting look into how your mind works 😂 pretty creative thoughts you have there. Also the answer to your question about the cup is no, we didn't let it go mouldy. We made it look like it and then I also made it look more grim when i did the colour grading.

I realized that all of these villains started out as calm and collected with composure. Always in control of themselves, right up until before they all went completely insane and died by their own hand lol Clayton lost his shit and strangled himself Sikes is completely crazy, he drove into the literal subway, broke his stick shift, decimated his tires, instead of lowering the window he broke through with one arm and crashed into a train. Rourke was chill the entire movie, but when the balloon exploded his face became so scary and homicidal.
